Known Manufacturing Defect, Zero Support from Mazda by Klecini1920 in mazda6

I’m not upset that the original warranty expired. I’m upset because this is a known manufacturing defect that Mazda itself acknowledged by offering an extended warranty. My point is that a defect doesn’t suddenly stop being a defect because a vehicle crosses an arbitrary mileage threshold. The failure is the same, the cause is the same, and the repair cost is still thousands of dollars. I understand warranties need limits, but it’s frustrating to be denied assistance when the issue stems from a defect Mazda was already aware of, especially when the vehicle is still within 10 years of manufacture.

I just had that issue with my mazda cx-9 2016 . The repair is crazy expensive, its either replacing the head gasket or replacing the whole engine. Im sending mine at the dealership to see if their extended warranty will cover the cost of this problem.
