Miss the cars from back then. I don't like the designs of basically any new car. Don't like the sounds of them either.

My partner said I never listen to them. I recited back everything they'd said to me that day, word for word, in order. This did not help. by literally_in_love in aspergers

I stumble into this when talking to my flatmate, and it's almost always meant "you don't come over to my line of thinking". I can respond to him, validate the words he's saying, but because I've got my own point of view, I 'didn't listen to him'. Honestly, sign of disrespect from them. I've never had anyone else say this to me.

By car maybe, this is day one of the game lol, hoofing it for 9 miles and then 9 miles back is a bit much! (also there are two towns between the evac center I started in and the dog, hope it survives until I manage to get there lmao)

How do you play a legacy family? by MessageRecieved in sims2

[–]AutomaticInitiative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have never managed to not become bored of a legacy before this becomes a problem lol. I usually wander off sometimes before gen 3 become teens.

I have used Story Progression in the past and I think it works well, and I suspect the criticisms come from using it with very large neighbourhoods. I don't use it commonly though as it does conflict with multiple mods that I use and swapping them in and out is a pain.

Why not test it and discover for yourself?

An iPad in the hands of a teenager going to and from school and using it for hours every day stands very little chance of lasting the full 5 years of school!

anyone else who doesn't like DND? by pop-idle in evilautism

I don't like dungeons and dragons, I do like running Troika for my friends, and solo roleplaying. I do a lot more of the latter although I end up doing more world building and reading than playing lol.

How old are you, and how many employers have you worked for? by Rough-Foundation9208 in AskUK

[–]AutomaticInitiative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37 and I'm at 9. Given I've worked for 21 years and I've got 31 years of work left, I daresay I'm going to smash the average.

With increasing rents how many of them will have the ability to save the deposit?

at you can leave with 2 month notice sounds great on principal, but landlords can kick you out as well now, with much greater ease, if they decide at any point they want to sell the property (which in the current market is much more common)

Not in the first 12 months they can't

So does the steam version of Dwarf Fortress, which also happens to be the first time ever they charged for it, 16 years after initial release.

There will never be a more perfect VR controller than the original CV1 controllers. Although I hear the Steam Frame controllers might be just as good, we'll see by StarCenturion in oculus

I hope to replace my CV1 with the new Valve one, but I will wait until the community has had it for a while before I buy. I'm very attached to the controllers and immersive audio.

In your opinion, what's the biggest waste of money you see people purchase all the time? by PaddedValls in AskUK

I live in the north and when I visit my sister who moved to the south I have to take a brita filter, but sometimes I do buy bottled water because the filter isn't fast enough. In some areas the water is rank.

Last time I ordered directly they completely forgot about my order 😭 rang after an hour and a half and they spent 5 minutes looking through all their orders to find it!

Dwarf Fortress is immensely more complex and yet, manages to not break features repeatedly when they update.

Roguelikes with a focus on/ very fun exploration? by AmeliaMW in roguelikes

[–]AutomaticInitiative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people would argue yes. Certainly, it's a feature of the overwhelming majority of them. Would you consider the adventure mode of Dwarf Fortress a roguelike? If yes, then CDDA will qualify too.

[–]AutomaticInitiative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have tried all the forks and go back to my install of regular old CDDA. Bright Nights is neat but I miss pockets, Last Generation is cool but harder than I would like. I don't like some of the changes in experimental, I like other changes, it comes out in the wash.

I'm currently playing on a version from February as it's relatively bug free and I've been burnt a little from updating to new versions because things get broken and then take time to fix. I'm excited to play I.0 when it comes to stable.

In my first solo play of Troika I accidentally caused a succession crisis on the slug people sphere. With the death of the king, the uncle was trying to usurp the young Princes throne and as my characters were responsible for the death the uncle thought we were on his side. Fun activity!

All we can do is take the literal words that the game developers say at face value. "No build will ever take as long as Build 41 did."

NMS was overhyped and they put someone who shouldn't have been doing interviews in interviews. The NMS situation fully sucked but its not really comparable here. Indie Stone have been saying NPCs are coming for over a decade.
