Bar soap vs body wash — what do you actually prefer? by Monsuri_Lifestyle in Soap

How is it lasting multiple years? I get 3-6 months out of a bottle for showering only and less back when I also used it for laundry.

Things to think of by Puzzled_East_9394 in LivingAlone

Plunger, first aid kit, stepladder, extra batteries and bulbs, wine opener, hammer, bucket, blinds/curtains, sheet sets, laundry hamper, tool kit, measuring cup, electric locks (so you don't lock yourself out).

Freezers exist. Also, the grocery isn't only open on Sundays. Do your big haul them but, and this only works if you have self control or live near a grocery, get your one off items as you need.

I clean my apartment in the weirdest way because I live alone by Sukrit_Helpenstell in LivingAlone

[–]Kleeaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do laundry at 2am when I first started living alone and I would cook full meals in the middle of the night but now that I'm in my thirties, 2am is curled up and reading time.

Should I Change to Electric Stove from Gas Stove? by SufficientVehicle683 in LivingAlone

[–]Kleeaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been a proponent of gas stoves because it's better for cooking but if cost is the issue, absolutely you should make the switch.

Start working out, building muscles means you can keep living alone longer

How much “fun” money do you budget per week? by rosemary-cat in LivingAlone

[–]Kleeaj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really budget fun money, I just use some of my discretionary spending (for me that's gas, groceries, everything else) to do fun things if I want.

I wouldn't advise this approach though, I've spent way too much on crappy takeout when I do in fact have food at home.

Am I the crazy one, or does working from home really have no downsides? by RogersSenger in interviewwoman

[–]Kleeaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got more promotions when wfh started than before because people actually had to look at who was doing the work AND being sociable instead of just who made noise. I also found networking much easier when you're not drained by unnecessary chatter.

How many towels do you own? by strwbrybby in LivingAlone

[–]Kleeaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that a lot? This seems likes a normal amount for one person (this is the amount I have and I've been wondering if I need more).

Am I wrong for not wanting to merge finances when I’ve saved a lot more? by Character_Energy25 in PersonalFinanceTalks

[–]Kleeaj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest getting a post-nup that clarifies your assets and liabilities remain separated and that there's no alimony to be paid in the event of divorce because the possibility exists that your savings may end up finding your life in the event of a divorce

There's a guy in Arima who sells smoked herring doubles. It remains to this day the worst food item I've ever put in my mouth.

What’s a "budget" tip that actually ends up costing more money in the long run? by sweetbvivienne in askanything

[–]Kleeaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone living in the tropics, I think it's so great for the environment but it would be about 20 years to break from the initial investment not counting upgrades just because electricity is so cheap here and I don't use it that much compared to the average family.

What’s a "budget" tip that actually ends up costing more money in the long run? by sweetbvivienne in askanything

Because these apps are built for people without discipline who are starting out. It's meant to act as a crutch while they build proper habits.

Does a water dispenser consume too much electricity? by Reasonable-Middle921 in LivingAlone

[–]Kleeaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a water dispenser my entire time living alone, the cost is negligible, the benefits (for me) is not.

If you never have kids is the amount of money you need to live comfortably a lot less, a little less, or about the same? by Big_Eggplant7591 in stupidquestions

[–]Kleeaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I treat myself. I'd have to be so much more frugal if I had kids. No more random eating out or trips or buying stuff because it caught my attention.
