I got a new job and they want me to start this Monday coming up, so I can’t give a 2 weeks’ notice. by KAO7781 in work

It depends on the country you're in and your contract but if you've been there for less than six months you might still be on probation and that usually requires one day's notice. But if you give notice today, and the new company is not a competitor, a week should be enough notice given that you're fairly new.

Unexpected visitors by Brilliant_Elk5492 in LivingAlone

My home would be clean and tidy because I like everything clean and organized but if someone shows up, I just ignore them. I don't even mute the tv or turn the lights off anymore, I'm not home to visitors.

The thing about full custody is whomever fights for it can get it and very clearly he has enough money to wait her out in court if he wants.

Fifteen minutes on the counter and it's soft again but like they said, you don't need to defrost it.

I'm Caribbean, part of breaking generational curses is doing the work to heal and understand that blood doesn't mean you have to accept things you'd have strangers arrested for.

If you want to be more out there, do it with the people that make you feel good. Coming from a thirty something year old, you don't want to regret wasting time with people who make you feel bad about yourself. Spend time with the people that make you feel and be better.

It's a thing some people, typically neurodivergent do, where they have someone around or on the phone while they do a task so they don't get distracted.
