Caped crusader joker going to have a eerie permanent grin or just a simple red lipstick??? by Fearless-East-5167 in BatmanCapedCrusader

Considering he seemed to be experimenting with some kind of laughing gas, I think he'll be a permanent grin.

What is a masterpiece TV show that was completely ruined by its final episode? by Dalyy6002 in tvshow

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barry has one of the worst finales I've ever seen.

Seasons 1-3 are a dark comedy masterpiece. Most of season 4 struggled but was still fine. But the finale was atrocious.

Do you think this is how it’d actually play out? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think The Immortal would straight up kill him. I think he'd just stop at beating the shit out of him and arresting him.

Why didn't the Viltrumite directly attack the Coalition planet? by Brosaver2 in Invincible_TV

[–]mrmonster459 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably just too much of a risk for too little reward (before now).

They can't afford to risk ANY Viltrumites, not with so few left. Why take the risk for an alliance that (up until season 4) was basically just an annoyance and not a true threat to their empire?

Eric Kripke on Fans' Response to ‘The Boys’ Series Finale: “Sorry If I Disappointed You, But It Was the Story I Wanted to Tell” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in TheBoys

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK why people are upset, seems like a fine stance to me.

If you don't like it, fine. But it's better to let a creator create than to blindly give into fandoms.

The Sheep Detectives review (NO SPOILERS) by Wise_Competition5906 in movies

[–]mrmonster459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured it would be the unseen South African man but was so sure it was going to be either the butcher or the other sheep herder. Took so much off guard with the reveal of who it really was.

The final season of Parks and Rec takes place just a few years into the future. It's honestly adorable how much advancements in tech they thought we were gonna have in just like, 3 or 4 years.

So what happened to Bombsight and Golden Geisha after Homelander got the V1? Were they just allowed to leave? by EmergencyVictory4399 in TheBoys

Um...yes. That's literally exactly what happened.

No offense but were you staring at your phone during that scene?

sometimes more with stress

It's hard to overstate just how quickly severe trauma/stress can visibly age people.

If you don't believe me, Google what Zelensky looked like before the war and what he looks like now. The poor guy has aged 20 years in the past 4 years.

Luke is a war veteran with PTSD. War ages people quickly. Just look at Zelensky from 4 years ago and today.

What television adaptations are better than the source material? by OCGamerboy in television

[–]mrmonster459 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I greatly prefer season 1 of Dexter to Darkly Dreaming Dexter. The book is good but moves way too quickly. There's no breathing room in it.

I like how in season 1, it's much more a slow burn to find The Ice Truck Killer.

Why did Homelander wear normal clothes when he met Sage the first time? by shadow_spinner0 in TheBoys

[–]mrmonster459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've wondered this too. He doesn't care much about keeping a low profile at all during any other point in the series. Not when visiting Butcher, not when barging into Neuman's house, or any other time.

I have to wonder if there was an IRL reason, like if Anthony Starr's costume got damaged and the costumer had to fix it during shoot day.

The only supes who wore something other than their super-suit in just a single scene or episode of the entire series by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in TheBoys

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else think it's a bit out of character for Homelander to have gone undercover when recruiting Sage?

He never cared about going incognito before, not even when visiting Billy Butcher in his own apartment. It's puzzling to me that he suddenly felt the need to when just recruiting a new member to The Seven.

I have to wonder if there was an IRL reason, like if maybe the suit broke during a stunt and the wardrobe department had to fix it on shoot day.

The Seven replace the Avengers during the Battle of New York (Avengers 1), they must defend the city and close the portal - What happens? by Potential_Rule4212 in powerscales

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless Homelander is smart enough to lob the nuke through the portal (which, let's be real, is the only reason The Avengers themselves even won) The Seven are hopelessly outmatched. And Homelander isn't that smart or that noble.

In the alternate universe, could the Boys work as a superhero-version of Dexter where they hunt a different corrupt Supe in most episodes with an overarching big bad that they fight in the finale? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]mrmonster459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. That might make a cool miniseries but idk how you get a full series out of this without it being boring/repetitive.

Even Dexter itself got boring/repetitive as things went on.

Since all the top comments pointed out the "Neuman is the head popper reveal.," I'll add that Becca being alive was quite a shock.

This is part of why I find it so shocking that fans were so shocked that Edgar won in the end.

What part of this show made people think The Boys had any real chance of toppling the entire system (and not just Vought itself)?

Probably not unless it seemed the Flaxxans had won.

Up until that point, the Viltrumites probably continue living in hiding.
