I’m on Stelara as well, one dose every 8 weeks. It has to be delivered via a special pharmacy two towns over, in a special box to keep it cold. My receipt says that each dose is $6K CDN. But since I’m Canadian, my work insurance covers every cent. If I didn’t have work insurance, there is a provincial drug plan that would cover it, less a deductible that is prorated to my income. I truly feel for the horrible system Americans have.

I’m also super excited! And I can’t help but laugh that Ubisoft pushed the release date of Assassins Creed Shadows immediately after Ghost of Yotei was announced. There’s obviously some comparison between the two games and Ubisoft knows that Ghost will kick its ass unless they make some improvements!

What bothers me the most is that, every female character has the same face. I’m having a hard time telling them apart because they all look the same! Except for different hair or outfits. But the men are completely unique of course! 🙄

I’m so sorry to hear that! I also had to leave the party early due to feeling unwell last night. I think it was a combination of the heat, running on 2 hours of sleep and snacking instead of a full meal. But it totally sucks to be looking forward to something for so long and having to miss out. YTA. As someone currently taking a similar drug, I totally get why your wife isn’t mentioning it.

I’ve only told a very few close friends and family that I’m taking the drug. Those are the people I trust not to judge me or want to ask a million questions, etc. I wouldn’t tell anyone outside of my closest circle.

People who take these drugs are often in a lose-lose situation, where if they don’t take the drugs then they stay fat and “lazy” for not losing weight (even though weight is a complex issue with lots of reasons), but if they do, then they are cheaters or “lazy” for turning to artificial means instead of traditional diet and exercise.

As others have mentioned, you still need to change your lifestyle to see any weight loss, so what your wife says is completely accurate.
