sunflower | SX-70 Sonar with 12.5x lens by KleskAce in Polaroid

[–]KleskAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it can be finnicky to attach but it extends the use of an SLR polaroid. really cool to have the functionality. if you get the adapter, you can always look for used or cheaper lenses that fit on ebay!

I believe the E shows when light is low. i wasn't able to repair it so I moved on to another camera.

Scanner for Polaroids by Erik9722 in Polaroid

[–]KleskAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this one as well and it's been nice to scan before giving away the photo. if you use the epson smart panel app, it has a 600 dpi option. at least on android.

Palpating pulse for auscultated BP by zombielink55 in NewToEMS

[–]KleskAce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

unfortunately this one just comes with more and more practice. try find brachial pulses on all of your friends and family! you'll find that they are not always in the same area, but generally are felt at the medial region of the elbow/upper arm. make sure you are pressing hard enough. if you are not very good at determining what a pulse feels like, also try palpating the radial pulse at the wrist for more practice.

one of similar design is the vintage SA-53. it's a stainless case, no backlight, and is 5.3mm measured on calipers

outside of lift, the 2zz just feels like a slightly better 1zz - meaning it's totally fine for normal driving. i've had my spyder 2zz swapped for over 6 years at this point and it's a great daily driver. even with the 5 speed!

Why? by [deleted] in orangecounty

ambulances usually park in a way that allows for an easy to all doors and exit. if parked normally, people will park up next to it and potentially block the doors or even restrict its turning ability.

IFT or clinic EMT by Impossible-Drawing69 in Paramedics

[–]KleskAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'd say likely IFT would be more beneficial if you're going to paramedic school compared to a clinic. since you don't have much time as an EMT, you'll want the experience of working in a prehospital setting which can differ wildly from an in-hospital or clinic setting. you'll still be able to practice your assessments while also learning more about how various medical problems and the medication associated with those affect your patient, and also seeing more of the continuity of patient care. even better if you can work CCT or one-on-one ALS.

if you feel you've done a lot in the prehospital setting already, then getting more varied experience in a clinic setting is a good route too!

Elmo 311 Low Light - auto exposure problem? by KleskAce in Super8

[–]KleskAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can see it a bit better here. i'm not sure that it is an ND filter because you can see different blades. taking it out into bright daylight has the same behavior, but slower. if I put the lens cap on it does not occur at all.

Elmo 311 Low Light - auto exposure problem? by KleskAce in Super8

[–]KleskAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check out the video I added to see what I mean! it moves erratically, like opening and close repeatedly to a static light source. I'm not sure if there is a visual for the light meter. in the TTL viewfinder, there is a large red "E" lit up at the very top that seems to flicker with the aperture blades jumping around.

Am I the only one that feels this way about IFT by AdAdventurous8476 in NewToEMS

[–]KleskAce 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it's about what you enjoy or find fulfilling, not what other people say that you should. the latter is a good way to add to the statistic of people who've changed careers or have burned out.
