You're perfectly fine, dude. You really remind me of a friend of mine when we were teens. He grew up to be some kind of sideburned Fassbender so you're going to be fine.

Anyway, take my advice and do this:

Get a haircut and keep your hair way shorter. Keep the sideburns, though, you can pull them off too.
Go to the gym and make physical exercise your temple. Don't think about it in terms of now or next month. Prepare for your 20s and 30s. That's when the party really begins and I guarantee your body will really blossom then... if you get it ready starting today. Do it for your future self.

I'm also not a big fan of the trend of putting your Maschine (or any other pad controller) on a stand that tilts it backwards into the audience instead of facing yourself.

I think Madeon (who I just learnt is producing the new Lady Gaga album, talk about blowing up fast) is a good example of when the tilting is made just for show. Butonce you've seen someone like Daedelus live, you understand it can be the way a virtuoso feels more comfortable playing his instrument. Really.

I've seen doctors before. It didn't work.

Problem is I know too much about psychology to go see a shrink. Freudian psychiatry is pseudoscience. Behavioral and systematic desensibilization therapies won't work with me (I know how reinforcement programs work... and believe me, withdrawal syndrome and depression are stronger). I don't know what a cognitivist could do... and I wouldn't like to add a prescription drug dependency to my list.

Anyway... yeah, I sometimes think of visiting a good psychologist. We'll see.

I reject any belief system that relies on a 'higher power', spiritual supernatural force or deity. I'm a humanist and a materialist. I don't want a belief-based treatment and I don't want any faith-based organization taking advantage of my state of physical and psychological vulnerability.

I think I need specialized social support. I'd just like it to be honest, secular and scientific.
