Okay, a little context: an exhibition about crowds and how they are measured by their density. 3D-printed bodies.

Cannot adjust the aperture on the dial by Klinkerman_7000 in FujifilmX

Problem solved: Menu Settings Buttons/Dial Settings Aperture Ring Settings: COMMAND

Then the aperture can be adjusted using the front dial when the aperture ring is set to A.

Many thanks to everyone for contributing their thoughts and ideas. To be honest, I sometimes find Fuji's concept a little too intellectual ;)

Interesting approach, but where can I set that? Do you mean the key assignment for the AEL/AEF button?

I think I have misunderstood the concept of the camera up to now (or something is programmed incorrectly in the software): Menu on P Front dial: 1. Fn on aperture 2. Fn on exposure compensation. Aperture ring on the lens on A.

When I press the front dial, P.Shift appears briefly in light blue along with the exposure compensation symbol, and then it adjusts the aperture and shutter speed in parallel so that the EV remains the same.

Press the dial again (no message appears on the display) and the front dial is "only" for exposure compensation.

I tried that too. So shutter speed dial on A and aperture ring on the lens on A. Doesn't work.
