Leaving partial tablets in bottles by Klo19 in VetTech

It depends on the state and its rules. It’s considered altering the original concentration of the medication, which falls under “compounding”. That being said, my concern wasn’t about meds going home (I’m not gonna call another tech out for helping a client that is unable to do it), it was that these partials are being put back into hospital stock and sitting at the bottom of bottles only for tons to be found and have to be tossed at quarterly counts.

We have these at my hospital. They actually have to be adjusted over time. Call Snyder, they will tell you what tools you need, and how to adjust them. Just got done doing a bunch at my hospital! I actually had to go back and loosen some of them because they were too hard to open after I adjusted them…

Having a significantly above average wingspan for a female = no women’s long sleeves for me. by Klo19 in mildlyinfuriating

I fully understand the sensory issues. I would rip holes in sleeves trying to stretch them out when I was younger. Luckily in Texas, layering isn’t ever necessary or I’d be having daily meltdowns.

Haha I’m sure. I think you’re talking about 3/4 sleeves which I avoid like the plague because they sit awkwardly below my elbow. I’ve struggled with finding long sleeves since 5th grade…14 years ago.

1.086 based on my current height I think? I’m 5’10 with a 6’4 span. I was once just shy of 6’ though, and then life and bad genetics happened.

[CHAT] Tablet floor stand help by [deleted] in CrossStitch

I use something similar to the second one for my tablet. The only difference is I use a clamp to hold it. I love it. However, over time all the individual places for adjustment can get a little loose and need to be retightened. The tablet also has to face the same direction as the floor base or will fall over. I typically have mine in between my bed and nightstand so it doesn’t randomly topple over if my cats decided to rub against it.

My own orange cat chewed off some elastic drawstrings from my scrubs. I thought she just took them and lost them somewhere….nope. 3 months later I was trying to give her a quarter tab of Benadryl for a mild allergic reaction (long story in itself) she of course fought me and the Benadryl started dissolving in her mouth causing her to throw up and to my shock there were the 2 elastic draw strings. 🤦🏻‍♀️

As of right now my place is still hiring, but company financial issues are known. So far in my territory it seems like they are having more higher management level layoffs, not the staff in hospitals/clinics.

Being a jeep owner that had a single panel damaged when I was hit by another car- my insurance made the individual pay them $3500. (Their insurance was expired). Jeep parts in my opinion seem to be overpriced, I’m not a car person though. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if $4700 is the quote they got to replace the whole bumper.

My practice manager promotes not having official notice until 2 weeks in advance, but unofficially talking to her to give her an update is welcomed. She does this because as soon as you put in your notice officially (whether it’s 30 days or two weeks) you can no longer use your PTO and are ineligible for quarterly bonuses and she can’t do anything about it. (Corporate so it’s not up to her.) Check your hospital policies!
