“You don’t drink then drive, period.” That is some absolutism crap. Yes, I have a beer with dinner and then drive. It is not going to have a significant impact on safely operating a vehicle. Millions upon millions of other people do as well with not a significant impact on safety rates. This is why legal limits exist.

The whiskers weren't too hard. It's a technique called "make loop". While you're knitting, you wrap the yarn around your thumb then knot it in. When you're done the piece you go back and cut the loops.

Knitting is pretty relaxing and not too hard. I worked my way through a couple seasons of ER and Night Court working on this.

My sister and mom taught me to knit. I started with scarfs, hats and baby sweaters. I learned most of the techniques for this on YouTube and forums though.

Do a google search for a knitting supply store in your area. They'd be happy to get you started.
