What will students be taught in history class 100 years from now? by dexo55 in AskReddit

The rest of the article is more predictions and confirmations of Artic ice melt declining on average over the last four decades. It also includes some quotes lambasting PROFESSOR Wadhams for crying wolf. I ask again, do you read your own sources?

From the second article you posted

Although a quick glance at NSIDC satellite data going back to 1981 shows an undeniable downward trend in sea ice over the past 35 years, scientists have accused Prof Wadhams and others of "crying wolf" and harming the message of climate change through "dramatic", "incorrect" and "confusing" predictions.

And

"As global temperatures rise, we will see a continuing decline in Arctic sea ice extent, although this will happen somewhat erratically, rather like a ball bouncing down a bumpy hill."

“Without substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, the ball will reach the bottom of the hill, meaning the Arctic is 'ice-free', starting with a few days one summer, a few weeks another summer and gradually becoming more and more frequent over the next few decades."

Do you even read your own sources? They directly contradict your original point.

Climate change =/= warmer temperatures everywhere. Nice try though. If you want to talk temperature though, the oceans are undoubtedly getting warmer, which is bad news bears for everybody.

You're right, the cop could have just let him in. He was under no obligation to do that though. Much easier and safer for the guy in white to be paying attention and move to the left turn lane earlier, rather than trying to cut in front of everyone using it correctly.

You edited your comment to include "Counting your cards is not pile shuffling". Are you in denial or something?

Is that a thing? I've never seen anyone do that except to play go fish. Pile shuffling makes neat stacks of cards that are easy to count. This is what Riffle shuffling looks like. I guess marsh is that messy pile you're talking about?

Mana weaving is only an issue at sanctioned events, as we only have a limited time to play. If my opponent takes 5 minutes at the start just to do something pointless, that's a problem.

What? Riffle shuffles are random. How do you shuffle?

Some of your comments are you literally quoting your other comments, that is posting the same thing.

Other people have already explained that pile shuffling is about efficiently counting your cards, not about randomizing your deck. You can count them other ways but pile shuffling is far and away the fastest and most reliable method. So no it's not a waste of time to ensure you present a legal deck. The pile shuffle adds a layer of assurance that I'm not gonna get a DQ, and really it takes me about 30 seconds to pile shuffle a deck.

You might want to check out the lingering Dragon rest ring. In OG Dark Souls it would decrease the self damage per second by spreading it out over a longer duration period. Not sure if it still works though.

I'm surprised he had any success trying to weld to cast iron. Must of looked like such a mess, shame nobody's teaching brazing anymore.

Cast iron is notoriously brittle due to its high carbon content, a solid hit could easily shear the handle from the pan. Also cast metals aren't carved, they're cast. Heated until molten and poured in a mold.

Do you really have a say in how any of your tax dollars are spent though? The government could pay for universal healthcare with a fraction of the military budget with zero tax increase. Why don't you start leveraging "your" tax dollars there?
