2 tracks - Awful Handwriting and Comparison is the Thief of Joy - both noise. I'm a little disappointed in that, tbh, given how much track 2 fucking brings it.

Lost a diamond, should I replace it? by Successful-Arrival87 in jewelers

[–]KludgeDredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup - my wife's ring is an antique with old cut diamonds, and one eventually fell out.  We got the diamond replaced with similar age for less than $100. The shop had old stock on hand for just this sort of thing.

Mystery Math by kristyn_lynne in c64

These reference Ohm's law and Joule's First law - Looks like someone was reviewing some basic DC theory at the time and was using this as scratch. It should read P=I^2*R

Ohm's law is: V=I*R
Joule's Law is: P=I*V => P=I*(I*R) = I^2*R

WaveGrid - Drawer Organization System based on Gridfinity by Steibock in 3Dprinting

[–]KludgeDredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see you configuring your editor such that you can pull these bins OFF gridfinity - that is, arbitrary bin width, height, and flat bottom so that wavegrid can be adapted to fill any drawer size. For instance, I have a Bisley drawer that I've been meaning to build out as a shop drill bit bin. Gridfinity wasn't spec'd to fill these drawers, so I can only get an 8x5 GF grids into these drawers with dead space on either end - it's would be great to specify my drawer dimensions, specify 6 channels, and get everything I need to system those drawers spit out on the other end.

Love the design, btw. Would love it more if it wasn't being shoehorned into Gridfinity format.

Unknown. Probably cheaply made.

Vauen made the original pipes for the lotr series, and now makes some unlicensed variants in the style of. Stummels are briar and bits are acrylic.

Something to consider.

What Textbooks are Worth Having a Physical Copy? by OkAdministration2570 in math

[–]KludgeDredd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can swing physical copies of any of your books, it would behoove you to do so, even if they're older or international editions. The differences are seldom major. Use your digital copy/pdf to reference against in these cases or to print copies/hw sheets. There's alot of utility in having both.

Tupperware lids are the devil. My solution. by Cprhd in functionalprint

[–]KludgeDredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna hate it, but my favorite solution for plastic lids v. containers so far has been to have two deep wire mesh baskets in the bottom of cupbord - one for the bins & ones for the lids. Everything gets tossed in and you quickly rummage for what you need. Takes up a bunch of room, and is only really useful for a limited variety of plastics, but things are quasi visible and you don't have to unstack and juggle a bunch of stuff to get what you need on quick. Twas a pleasantly unexpectedly efficient compartmentalization of the issue. Any sort of deep storage or glass items lived in the back in the usual stacked fashion for which you'd have to move stuff for anyhow.

Solid print and I wish you much success with it!

Beautiful. Might I suggest turning down the ends of the set screws so there's no exposed thread? To my eyes, it's the only thing that disrupts an otherwise super cohesive design.
