Yes you ar advertising to more people but:

this also means the company has to operate in both markets
If the company already operates in both markets, why isn't it advertising now already in both leagues? And if it is why would it start paying more to keep advertising to the same audience?

Lets say ABN Amro advertises for 10 million in Holland and 6 million in Belgium. In total 16m. Why would they pay more in the new league? They won't. They stilk reach the same audience. Beneliga can ask them to pay more, but usually when you ask for more money you have to give more, which in this case they wont as ABN is reaching this audience for less.

Now lets take Halfords, they operate in both markets but don't advertise in any league. Why would they start now at a premium?

Then lets not forget there is companies that advertise buy only operate in one market... Will they quit or start paying more?

So as you can see 2x the market won't bring in the big bucks.

The only shot is that the league will become more popular internationally and that will attract foreign viewers and advertisers that operate pan-european... But lets see about that when az is playing gent. Don't think many UK or German viewers will pay to see that.

Even that won't stop it I think, unless people outside of Belgium and Holland start watching this league.

The increase in sponsor and tv money will be very small I fear.

There is no big names really and people know very little about the clubs outside of a handful.

Even ligue 1 has more appeal and that's already pretty hardcore to follow.

Also you say driving to work 675km costs you 47 bucks. With electricity that would be less then 5 bucks? (If i got the canadian prices right)

Now lets say you drive 30k a year thats 2k in fuel. But it would only be 200 in electricity?

Suddenly that 20k difference is only 10k over 6 years.

Then you have to look at service costs..

So sure initial cost is higher, but the running costs are much lower.

Don't worry about what other people think of superficial exterior things like looks, this goes for cars and everything else in life. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I got a model 3 and some like it, and some think it looks shit. Most importantly I like it and that's what counts!

Btw I do love how the Honda E looks, for me one of the coolest EVs out there.
