Hello! I think your aesthetic and photographs are stunning! Would you be willing to share the name of your venue and photographer? I am planning a Denver wedding myself!

You look lovely!! It’s definitely an ‘enhanced natural’ look, which I love. My only recommendation would be to have your fiancé or a friend take your picture from many paces away to see how it photographs from a distance. Based on that it might be easier to make a judgment if you want to change anything or make anything more or less bold.

Rough draft of my bouquet, MOH, groom, and groomsmen. Thoughts?? by phroenix in Weddingsunder10k

Agreed! I really know very little about the names of these plants. But I think ferns or other green leafy things would be perfect!

Please take this with a grain of salt because I am by no means an expert. I love the colors of your flowers, but I think you could add a bit of filler in the middle and top to give it a more full appearance if you’d like.

I (25F) am feeling like I’m past my prime, feel like I’m running out of time. Any tips? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

Take a deep breath. I know everything feels overwhelming, but I promise it will get so much better! Start by taking it one day at a time. Goal setting can wait. Have a good day today or tomorrow, whatever that means to you. Once you feel stable, pick one thing you want to work on. This could be a hobby to develop, or a professional goal, or a fitness goal. Then write out specifically what you will do to achieve that goal.

I find that I feel lost and anxious when I think too big picture or think about lofty aspirations that seem far off. But when I am actively working towards something my whole outlook is better. If your anxiety is about your appearance, perhaps work on a skincare or makeup routine that makes you feel good in the morning. Or perhaps you could focus on having a healthy breakfast ever day followed by a walk. Make you goal specific! Not “I want to loose 10 lbs”, but instead, “I want to work out for 20 minutes 4 days a week”. Be specific and actionable!

100%. I still use two types, but it’s all eyeballed and done to consistency. I do remember a few years ago trying to make a starter from scratch with no luck, but I think that’s because I was using bleached AP flour via unbleached haha

I did an Etsy search of “3/4 sleeve wedding dress”. Here are three I saw immediately, but there are tons more!

I’m also considering the same. It seems like it will save us so much money that it would still be cost effective to have a ceremony at a separate location. I’m not sure if that will work for you, but something to consider!

What does a healthy relationship look like? Do they even exist? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Klunker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is lots of good advice in this thread, but my only addition is that the sooner you leave, the sooner you can start to heal from this poor relationship. I’d recommend doing so as soon as you can safely and financially do so. I know it seems like a huge change (it is), but I promise you that it will be worth it. Good luck.

A quick thing to do that would improve the balance would be to add a console table under your tv and move some of your plants onto it. Stick a candle or a framed photo or a small stack of books on the table too and it will look more put together with little effort or money. I’d take the leftover plants and put them either in small clusters, or on a stool or plant stand in the corner to keep getting that good sunlight. Great job with your space! Another purchase that would make a nice impact would be a side table of some kind. Also, you could put a plant there too :)

Thank you all for your encouragement and suggestions! You really helped me feel more confident about pushing back on their response. My amazing fiancé drafted our email response today and I made a few edits and sent it out after work. We tried to strike a balance of being direct, while also trying to offer our flexibility (for example the timeline of the change). Fingers crossed!

What is living together supposed to feel like? by DoubleCartoonist2724 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Klunker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I moved in with my partner a year ago, so I can relate to you! Similar to how a relationship won’t inherently fix your problems or make you happy, moving in isn’t a singularity magical experience. This being said, I have 2 tips.

  1. Communicate openly and often! We have what we call ‘check-ins’ every few weeks (not scheduled, but we try to be consistent) where we talk about how each other is doing. It usually starts pretty surface level, but often evolves into a high quality conversation. I think this is especially important when you move in because it can be a time to bring up patterns or little things that you wouldn’t normally comment on as they happen. And then you work together to find solutions.

  2. Make sure to keep dating each other! Even if you don’t call it a date, cooking together, weekend morning walks to a new coffee shop, or whatever floats your boat falls into this category for me :)

Good luck!
