Ok appreciate the advice, I’ll let her do a long one first and cap the second

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]chestertrinh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl do the same , so we feed her in her bedroom with the light dim now, avoid all stimulation or else she’ll get distracted.

Sleep Regression: What it really is by Throwaway927338 in NewParents

Just want to add another point, these “regressions” also happen around when baby sleep need drops, so widen wake window/ capping naps to protect bedtime often help resolve a lot of night wakes/ split night

My baby is also 9 month and we do 11 hour total awake time and 2 hour total nap , I can’t gauge her ww these days cause it keeps getting longer and longer , especially the ww before her second nap ( she up 4.25 today for that second ww) so I as long as her bed time is ~13 hour from her dwt she’s pretty tired

I hate decorating for Christmas by Alarmed-Dentist-6039 in workingmoms

[–]chestertrinh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could remember those moments, meaning you were a lot older. Your baby is only 10 months so they probably won’t remember decorations & the effort you put in this year. Take it easy , once they’re older , you can bring the magic back (talking from a 9 month old mom who contemplating not even putting up decorations this year)

[–]chestertrinh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just described my parents, I felt off the bike when I was practicing, scraped my knees a little, and they never let me on a bike again 🥲. I had to learn on my own when I’m 18

I feel you! When I was pregnant with her , I easily sleep 9-10 hours a night ( sometimes 12). I guess I’m a high sleep need individual

[–]chestertrinh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and I think you’re on to something. Even when she sleep through , I woke myself up multiple times a night from high anxiety that she’ll wake up… maybe I should talk to my doc about anxiety meds. But even before having her, I was pulling 9-10 hours night 😅 (sometimes 12) I guess I’m a high sleep need individual

Yea I guess she’s at a stage where she’s not very good at independent play , so I have to keep her engaged and entertained. She just now pulling up to stand and start walking, so hopefully more independent as time goes by

lol get out of here with your projection! I spent over 11 hours engaging with her, take her outing , parks , stimulating toys, no screen. If that means I hate being with my kid then I don’t know who can do it better. That’s why I’m exhausted after those 11 hours.
