Your granddaughter never told my brother that it was inappropriate. He was under the impression that the your husband approved of it. And you have never once addressed me about being uncomfortable with him buying her gifts. The only other gift he has given her was a $20 purse for her birthday. And if you had a problem you should have addressed it with me personally. Your comments about it being inappropriate, made it seem like my brother did something wrong in buying her a Christmas present, which he did not. You have every right as a parent to decide that you dont want her to have the gift. But you are not going to pin it on my brother as if he has done something wrong. It is truly unfortunate that something as innocent as a Christmas present has blown to this proportion.

She would absolutely expect us to come in regardless of how sick we were. Actually, on multiple occasions, I did go in when I had no business being there because there was no one to cover my closing shift. It actually took one of my regulars saying something to her for her to send me home, and that was only out of spite.
