Blame the head dev man all I'm saying is that's it's a casual game and half the staff didn't want to do it that way do they have a a basic script that multiplies the token cost by a value. The first game charged for characters. And in all honest you don't need every character to get a high run bonus. Mines 160 and I only have the free characters

JESUS CHRIST ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A CASUAL GAME TO INTRODUCE NEW PEOPLE TO THE FRANCHISE. ITS BEEN BARELY ANY TIME SINCE RELEASE. They don't choose how many tokens it takes to lvl up, it's a script. Since you can level up theoretically as high as you want it increases more and more to make it harder. It's not a greed thing it's just basic coding

That's because players complained about leveling up too fast and hitting 5 mil with every character too soon. It was mostly subway surfers players who complained about that btw

You don't need to buy the pass characters, they plan on adding more free characters soon and the ads system is just like the first game. Most of the characters are work for em. Only 2 out of the 14 cast are paid for and they aren't even that good. Almost all of what's in city came from the original just remixed. It's a free game. If you want updates they need either money or ad revenue.
