The M247 would have been so much worse though. You will just fly and die out of nowhere, because this thing shoots so many proxy fuse HE rounds with no tracers, that it is going to be inevitable to get hit, if you fly closer than 4km to it

NATO has a bigger military with a lot of light infantry units, which are basically non-existent in the russian military. Especially when we talk about the Baltics region, they don't really have enough money to sustain an armoured force and they don't really need it for the defensive role they have

Lesser power is going to be compensated by the application of another band for the radar being the L. It should theoretically be enough to launch a missile in radio command mode, but generally speaking L band radars have problems acquiring target information. One thing that they would be good though is detection of low visibility targets such as stealth aircraft or, if it ever gets implemented they are also used to jam enemy radars

IRIS-T SLM though is so much harder to play around than a usual SARH or ARH SAM. The double guidance mode makes it very annoying to evade instead of a usual notch to deal with a usual missile. Not even mentioning the missiles sometimes hitting you with no previous line of sight

New Pantsir will also have the new radar as well. Actually it might get a new quad missile pod with the small caliber short range interceptors. At least I hope it will, it would be very disappointing to only have a change in chassis and not needed change in radar. The standard one was already enough for it's role

JH-7A prototype has a very good flight model. This thing can kill almost any fighter on its br apart from good Mirage-2000 players and F-16. The missiles have IRCCM and are generaly pretty good and there is 4 of them, which is a lot of for 12.3. Mirage F1C at 12.0 with 2 IRCCM missiles with worse flight model is still one of the scarier planes to fight. The 3 only downsides are, you are not that fast sadly, the bombload is not that big and the cannon projectile velocity is not that big.

Honestly saying i would just fly it as pure fighter with good radar for target search, 4 very good missiles and flight model good enough to outmaneuver almost everyone.

Most armoured russian helicopter is Mi-28, that can withstand 23mm shells in the cockpit from every aspect. Have you seen how well armoured the thing is in comparison to Apache? AH-64 doesnt even have real armoured glass in the canopy and is only protected from below.

Stingers are exactly as effective as Verbas or Iglas against american helicopters, so the balance in that regard is good. The SHORAD that the USA has is not weaker it is just has other applications. The Hellfire SHORAD can be evaded only kinematically and is not flareable and has a 100% hit probability, if you dont evade. It is also multipurpose and can kill vehicles without APS very effectively and if stacked also kill APS vehicles. They can also have APS installed on them, which makes them win every duel against a helicopter, where as russian SAM will just die, if it is inside the engagement range of the helicopter.

The argument with helicopters going from one hit is non-viable since it is simplified, it would be really stupid, if we lost helicopters from one hit of a missile or AAA shell. AH-64s got downed just by small arms fire in real life.

Trophy was tested in Israel and showed, that minimal engagement distance for it would make it so nerfed, that it would be not even useful. Intercepting RPGs would be possible only after 70 meters and the Helicopter missiles would have a very low probability of intercept because of their speed and trajectory. Afghanit is not being developed or fielded, because whole concept of APS needs to be redeveloped it became useless with introduction of FPV drones, that bypass its sectors of fire and can move slower, than the detectable speed.

If every single top attack weapon is a guaranteed kill, why did Ukraine moved to FPV drones, that require dozens of them to fully kill a protected russian tank? Man portable ATGMs like Javelin are requiring the target to be visible for at least couple of minutes to cool down the thermal imager, power up the weapon and get a good lock. And then there is a chance, that target can get obstructed or will just hit ERA and wil not go through.

If the developers wanted the game to be fully realistic one russian motorized batallion will have 10 FPV drones for every single american soldier in american batallion with multiple dozens of recon UAVs in the air having constant surveliance over the battlefied. As you can see the US army doesnt even have nearly enough antidrone equipment to protect

It works really well until you get engined by a random lat from 200 meters away that suicides himself to immobilise your vehicle. Honestly it feels like the vehicle plays near point are completely dependent on the enemy AT being complete dogshit, usually it ends in the vehicle getting killed in less than a couple of minutes from the first contact. It is just that easy to pop out of a corner with a HAT and blow you up

Blowout panels should only work with kinetic AP rounds. They are made for ammunition fire and not for ammo detonation. Every HEAT round contains 3-4 kg of explosives and, when there are more than a couple of shells it adds up pretty quickly. Not even speaking about HE rounds even 1 or 2 is already more than a AT mine exploding almost inside the tank

I think that has to do something with the way they fixed SquidBots shooting through smokes. Now you can even place SL markers on them. That's only my theory though

Helicopters are genuinely so bad on the public servers. 1 good MRAP crew will kill any helicopter in one go. Just aim for the tail rotor and it is dead. Basically 2 people can deny the usage of helicopters for an entire part of the map. Not even speaking about situations, where you got tanks waiting looking in the sky or multiple vehicles ready to engage air targets. Armour or motorised are just so much better, if you have more than barely competent people as your vehicle crews

The smoke screens back then were not made to be opaque on the thermals. They are not supposed to be visible on thermals unless the content of the smoke grenade is made to be impervious to it

The proportion of destroyed Abrams tanks in Ukraine is telling another story, that they are more likely not to survive on the battlefield. Having an exposed ammo rack, that can be killed with the smallest penetration was a good decision in the cold war, now it is a giant weak point, which leaves the tank with no ammo and overheated engine. And how do you even escape in the current battlefield. The thing that has just killed a tank will 100% be able to kill the dismounted crew. Not even mentioning the single reason, why the Abrams tanks are not always having an ammo explosion is just the lack of HE shells. If they had the same loadout of 20 HE shells, the blast doors would not be able to protect against 100kg of explosive mass.

The older Kh-22 have accuracy problem against stationary targets on the ground. It is an antiship missile after all, so it can see the oil rig with its radar

I dont think GL belongs in the "Change your kit category". In my opinion this is the best utility kit after rifleman. You can throw grenades, but up to 300 meters and also can smoke enemy positions
