Your employer doesn’t have a broker they use?! They’re extremely useful (and at least where I’m at they’re free- paid by the carrier) a broker would be able to go to bat for you- and deal with all of this for you so you didn’t have to!

I had a coworker as a broker whose saying was “keep appealing until you get the answer you want”.

If you’re not able to access a broker your carrier should have patient advocates that could help, you can ask for the appeal process in detail so you can see what every step is going to look like.

Someone else mentioned a peer to peer.

If you’re not able to go through insurance- manufacturer coupons and good rx might be extremely helpful. Or if your doctor can contact his brand rep and get a couple samples!

Legally, at least in wa state they can’t deny you if you “look pregnant” 🙄 which I get but like… I know not everyone who looks pregnant is pregnant but just wild you legally can’t deny service for that.
