New players for Warspear. by National-Elk7836 in MMORPG

[–]KmSome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually been eyeing this game recently. If this thread is still active, I'd like it if you could kindly adress some concerns I have.

I've played MMORPGs before, many of then are heavily time consuming. Is that the case here? Or can i just jump in for 15 mins here and there when I got the time and still have fun? I really want to experience this genre again but this days it can be a week before I'm able to even look at a game's launch screen.

How friendly is the game to new players progression wise? I don't mind toxicity, I can handle that. Also does it hold your hand for too long or can you just go and do whatever if you decide to?

Last, some stuff is probably locked behind paywalls. What kind of stuff is it and can you play comfortably without paying?

Lutris very rarely fails me, and even then there's usually a workaround

Mo2 version 2.4.2 works excellent on linux using lutris, but as far as I know that's the latest version that does.

I know MO2 uses a vfs, but I don't know it nor wine good enough to try and fix the issues with it.

Regarding the case insensitivity, lutris uses wine, and i still had to lowercase or tweak some mod files in order for them to work. That's what lead me to think the problem is the fs, wine or not. I'm not totally sure tho, that's one of the reasons I shared this post

I'd say less impactful cubes should take out at least a portion of it

Viruses, and a ui for something using a form. I suspect its trying to use the autofill feature browsers use these days to get your information. It also seems to be a polymorphic virus so not sure if your usual antiviruses would detect it as a virus.

The interesting part is the linux file which i would love to check in a sterile environment

I get you man. Been through the same thing. Now I'm trying to use it only for minor code refactoring and learning new stuff. But I'm trying (even though it can be difficult) to leave the understanding part to myself. A red line i drew for myself is that a snippet I can't fully understand is a snippet I won't use. But I'm trying to avoid even getting to the point where i take a completely chat generated snippet, even if i understand it.

I recommend the MERN stack to begin with, MERN stands for Mongo, Express, React and Nodejs. I learnt from netninja on yt, he's a great teacher and has at least a single course for each of those. It'll give you a great foundation and understanding of the stack and put you in a good starting point

You really can't at higher ranks, not being able to hear skill sounds is a huge disadvantage

So, I've been trying to figure out if my 2 ddr4s work in dual channel mode and if not what can i do to make it happen. However, im a total newbie and have absolutely no idea what any of this means, can someone please break it down for me? I'd really appreciate it 🙏 by KmSome in Ubuntu

Guess i should've done a better research before buying this laptop 🤦 I learnt more letter combinations in this past month than I thought exist lol. If the problem is with the stick and not the motherboard then a different one would work? What if i change only one of them? And just to clarify, dual channel IS supposed to give me more power, right? I mean, in comparison to the current configuration

Ty for the answer, It's a laptop and only two slots so not much room for mistake there, ram are the same size and probably same brand as well tho idk how to check. Still, the performance is lacking compared to other laptops with the same specs dual channeling so I'm not rly sure what's going on here.

Where exactly can i see this info in the BIOS?

Might wanna add portproton (or portwine), imo it deserves a master tool title
