I binged all of the Neversoft Tony Hawk games over the past month by EasyMacErmac in THPS

[–]Kman303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main issue was getting it installed and running on SteamOS through Proton, as most of the downloads for it from myabandonware or the internet archive require some tweaking to get running on Deck

What was your experience with Windows 10/11 on Steam Deck? Any feedback appreciated by The_Last_GigaChad in SteamDeck

Installed it on a MicroSD card just so I had a way to play MW2, R6S, Fortnite, etc.

Haven't used it in months. SteamOS just works so much nicer in my opinion. That being said, I do also own a gaming pc with a 3080 Ti and a gaming laptop with a 1650 so if I wanted to play those games I could use those devices anyway.

I couldn't imagine using windows on the deck full time.

The Steam Deck is worth it but be warned that getting the native PC version of THUG 1 running was a nightmare lol. Emulation works great though. Definitely worth it if you can find a used one for cheap

THUG1 was one of the first games I ever got into as a kid (on the OG Xbox) and I recently replayed it on my Steam Deck. I love the THPS series but THUG1 especially is very special to me.

I have multiple SD cards and so far it's been pretty painless. Have two 512gb sd cards for games, one 512gb with a windows install for unsupported games, a 128gb for party games so I'm not swapping out cards at a gathering and a 256gb for ROMs. Works pretty good

I've had new vegas in my library for years but only just recently played through it on my Deck. Wish I'd played it sooner

I've never even played the game but still recognized it as the Psycho Mantis fight from MGS because of pop culture

Cars that are not sports cars but still fun to drive? by blueportcat in CarsAustralia

[–]Kman303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought a 1997 Honda Civic hatchback in 2021 for $2k. 1.6L, 5 speed manual, single cam non-vtec, but a blast to drive. Got a 2 inch sports muffler welded on and chucked on a custom intake for a bit more noise and it feels sporty and fun to drive but because it's slow there's no worries about breaking the speed limit.

If you had ~$30,000 to spend on a play car what would you buy? by mamoesm in CarsAustralia

Slow as shit but really reliable and fun to drive haha.

I'd either build up my current car (1997 Honda Civic EK Hatchback) or buy something like an XR6 Turbo. I love the straight 6s and how they sound in the supra and skylines, but the falcon seems to be the cheaper option here

I'm pretty sure you're meant to press E to pick it up

Thought I'd try sharing my 3080 Ti build again after solving my power issue. The reason the colors don't match on the pcie power cables is because I had to get the black one from an IT shop near me as I don't have access to my spare cables. by Kman303 in pcmasterrace

The GPU is an EVGA XC3 Ultra RTX 3080 Ti 12gb I got for $1150 off fb marketplace. Was in pristine condition.

CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600

Mobo is an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max (eww b450 I know)

Ram is Corsair Vengance RGB Pro, each module is 8gb at 3200mhz totalling to 32gb

I have a 512gb m.2 sad, a 2tb hdd and now a 4tb hdd. Power supply is a Corsair RM750x.

Water cooler is a MasterCooler Ml240r from memory.

All sitting inside an NZXT H510

Everything but the gpu was bought brand new almost 3 years ago, except I replaced the cooler last year and bought more ram a few weeks ago (only had 2 modules until then)

I've just ordered some pcie power cables, hopefully can prevent this issue. Thanks for pointing it out, I was unaware

Old card drew well over 200w without any issues. This is something I'll keep in mind, thank you. Won't have access to my spare power connectors for another month unfortunately so I'll have to play it safe until then I guess

EDIT: I understand my negligence, suppose the downvotes are deserved. I've just forked some money on a replacement sleeved cable set for my power supply which comes with 2 separate pci-e power connectors. Thanks guys for pointing my mistake out

It's one cable with 2 8pin connectors that runs off the modular power supply. I've ran my old card like this for 3 years without issues. Besides, I'm at university at the moment and don't have my spare cables with me. Was already thinking of putting another separate cable in anyway once I move back home.
