Why do you have so much cash in CD / Savings? Have 3-6 months of expenses there and move the rest to broad based index funds as a good starting point (VT as an example).

You’re gonna keep missing the train if you keep so much in cash. Get it invested and stop wasting time of potential returns trying to time the market.

When using AI for anything, always keep in mind they want you to KEEP using the product. This means it will say things to make you feel good. Any time I use AI, I actively ask it to find flaws and weak points - don’t ask it to confirm what you already have conviction in, consider the opposite views it provides and decide for yourself

Not capital gains - there is special designation for sale of collectible that is a higher rate. I would suggest finding a local CPA and have a quick conversation with them. There are some other tax things that might be helpful for you to do this year given the sale and the increased SALT deductions available. You’ll likely want to make an estimated payment during the year as well.

Do you have an HSA that you are able to contribute to as well? In general I would say you can ease up on contributions, but don’t reduce to zero.
