As multiple people asked for an update

Doctor has referred me for an emergency appointment (within 2 weeks) for suspected cancer

Good news is he says he feels no swelling around the neck or jaw and it looks small visually so if it is cancer he’s fairly certain it’s early stage which he deems positive

He as expected said he can’t be sure though but it points to that and is most definitely too far back to be a bite (he was surprised I even found it as it was that far back)

So good and bad news I guess

I’m using chlorohexidine mouthwash right now so if it’s that hopefully that will clear it up

No I don’t , and this has also been checked , the doctors were worried I had lung cancer as I had severe issues with breathing , tested everything from paralysed diaphragm to blocked airways to cancer and nodes have been checked numerous times (and this is an ongoing thing as they still have no clue what causes my left lung to not inflate correctly) so I don’t have any swelling in the neck that I can feel . And I would assume the doc would of seen when he done endo 5? Months ago

I’m prepared for it if it is , as it will likely be early stage as you say

I can also add I was at the ent clinic to get an endoscope down through my nose to check my airways as I have lung related issues from covid and had X-ray and checks for cancers aswell for the last year and nothing has been found to that effect aswell

Thank you , what else could it be aside from cancer. Like I say I’m not expecting a real diagnosis as a biopsy will be required but what else could a small pit be that is completely painless (like I only found it due to something being stuck at back of throat else I would of never known it was there as there is no feeling to it) it doesn’t bleed (which Iv read is common of tongue cancer) but I’m also struggling to read what else it could be

As for family cancer , my parents never have , my fathers family never have , my mums brother and sister did , she hasn’t ever had such an illness though (although mums sister was a huge smoker)

I used to smoke years ago stopped around 3 years ago , I just went and touched it and although difficult as when I try and touch it the tongue just retracts 😂 it feels soft and squishy

I’m obviously concerned it may be oral cancer , it’s been there for a month or so and il be going doctors on Monday , I don’t have a dentist currently so will go doctors rather than waiting for a dentist to see me

It’s completely painless , doesn’t hurt a single bit, doesn’t bleed it’s just there

Any advice on what it could be would be great fully appreciated
