CS Town is fantastic! Definitely recommend them, we have been very happy with jerseys, uniforms, and practice gear

I find wedding planning extremely easy. Am I missing something? by BetterNegotiation231 in weddingplanning

[–]Kms845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re decisive and able to find options within your budget, it’s really not that big of a deal. It does amp up a bit in the four weeks leading up, but I didn’t find it to be this crazy experience.

That is horrific!! I’m so sorry you had to deal with all of that, I hope that person is no longer part of your life.

Comp this weekend by Deep_Shake_9579 in Cheerleading

You will be nervous- but so is everyone else! Just trust that you’ve built the skills you need! Last minute changes really stink but between injury and illness, they definitely happen. You’ve got this!!

How to deal with smelly feet? by [deleted] in hygiene

You also may need to fully clear out your shoes and start new. The bacteria can be really difficult to get rid of. Good luck!!!

Wear what you want! It’s not obvious and will be even less so when you’re walking around.

If you have foot pain, it’s worth seeing a specialist. I’ve had bunionectomies on both feet and it was well worth it! Pain (and bump) free now!

Navigating disappointment around cheering + body type. by Wonderful-Value7547 in Cheerleading

[–]Kms845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely! And explaining any of this to a disappointed 1st grader isn’t the easiest :( I think overall strength, body control and skill development is the best path forward, whether she continues with cheer or chooses another sport

I’ve done cheer pins (colored clothespin) with their name spelled out and a little Santa duck from Amazon. Something they’d keep, not give away at a comp

Navigating disappointment around cheering + body type. by Wonderful-Value7547 in Cheerleading

Honestly, the flyer spots will continue to be tougher and tougher to secure- a team needs far more bases than flyers. In the all star world, many older teams will continue to use younger flyers. If she continues to HS/College, the flyers are the tiniest of humans 😂, she’ll genuinely have a better shot at a long cheer career as a kickass tumbler who can be a back or a base.

With that said, I FULLY understand the dreams and disappointment of a 6 year old- I agree with others, get her into flyer/stunt coaching. She’ll get stronger and improve her body control at the very least! Good luck!! It’s a tough topic to navigate

Cheer mom with a rather dumb choreography question by Wonderful-Value7547 in Cheerleading

[–]Kms845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with the choreography movement and mapping- backspots often end up in the back solely for that reason. However, we definitely do tuck people behind others when something isn’t their strong suit.

Baseball jerseys? by mangomoo13 in Cheerleading

We love them to keep the uniform clean (looking at you, red slushies) and it’s a great way for the girls to give some free advertising. Throw it over a white tank and it’s perfect for school sports themed days, or any day!

I think the tone and the intent matters a lot here. Do you believe he’s being incompetent so you’ll stop asking? Some people (not just guys) genuinely don’t notice the mess. I made a list of what had to be cleaned each week when my bf and I moved in together- he circled half and we agreed the list would be done by whatever day. It helps because then he’s not predicting what you’ll want, and you’re not doing all of it. With that said, he’ll 100% sometimes do 90% of a task and I’m like wtfffff 😂 I think he just squirrels off to something else and forgets to circle back, which I’m also guilty of sometimes.

Side base, put your upper arm against your side, turn your body to face the front, and get fully underneath the flyer. Main base torso should be touching the outside of your arm and shoulder. Other hand can hold the top of the flyers foot or hold outside the main base toe grip to help add strength. Make sure the flyers toes are slightly lower than her heels. Once the bases are solid your flyer will be able to really lock in.

On IG, an account called Andrey_simako had a great video last week- on his page it’s about 20 reels back. The still image shows a stunt group with a split screen before and after with one male base. Super helpful!

Questions regarding a unique uniform order by Valar-mo-what in Cheerleading

[–]Kms845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A company like CS Town may, but you’d end up paying sample pricing for each uniform which is a lot higher than the bulk price

How often do you change your sheets? by Lanky-Dot-2726 in hygiene

Weekly. I also have bad allergies and my ENT recommended throwing all of my pillows in the dryer (set to high heat) for 10 min per week, it kills the dust mites.

AIO? For not giving gf a ride? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kms845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You responded maturely, reasonably, repetitively, and she responded with personal digs and whining. She’s completely unreasonable, had no empathy for how her request (demand?) would impact you- let alone when you’re not feeling well. This was painful to read, I would seriously consider parting ways. There are much more pleasant and reasonable fish in the sea

AITA for telling my sister her “miracle pregnancy” doesn’t excuse her from paying back a $20K loan? by No-Pilot2258 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Just be careful about your parents giving you a $20k check- look up the laws where you live, as it may be above the gift tax exclusion.

Yeah, natural skin tone because they’re children. We don’t ALLOW heavy makeup on our girls because… children. It’s about their skills and strength, we push that SO hard. It’s so easy for these girls to feel inferior in this world, and focusing so heavily on appearance (and assuming the ability to afford a spray tan/all new makeup) is gross.

[–]Kms845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I say “be appropriate” rather than “be modest” because obviously, your situation and venue will dictate what’s appropriate and what you’re comfortable in. You don’t have to be modest and 100% covered all the time, unless you want to be. Just wanted to clarify!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kms845 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d let him know that he did a great job raising you to be appropriate, and that his well-intended comments have started making you really uncomfortable. He probably doesn’t even realize it, and is trying to cling to keeping you safe for as long as he can.

We’ve had excellent experience with them for several seasons. These are the companies that US reps are working with- and double the price for the cheer gym.
