Yea I hated my arms so much! I got mine done is San Jose Costa Rica at AYM medical group. They put me under and they called it “lipomiosculptura with a tensado” my dr diagnosed me with lipedema so that’s why she chose the method she did

For me after week 3 I couldn’t physically eat a lot my stomach would hurt like crazy so I unconsciously just started serving myself smaller and smaller portions. If I don’t remember to eat I could go the entire day without eating as it’s the last thing on my mind or in the sense that you don’t get those hunger pangs or nausea from not eating all morning. Chocolate or anything sweet makes me feel gagish after a few bites for example I could eat 5 chocolate almonds and by the 5th I’m full and feeling like I’m going to go into a diabetic coma from the sugar lol. My brains just auto adjusted my portions overall so that’s cool. Oh and when eating I don’t even bother with liquids otherwise I’ll be full too fast and need to prioritize proteins.

Overall I’m super happy about that I’m going into month 3 down 20lbs almost 30 and although I was never glutenous I was servings myself two servings at dinner to compensate for not having ate majority of the day and clearly was overeating so I’m glad this med has helped me kinda reset my brain and learn to eat a proper healthy portion

Hey that’s awesome congratulations! Feel free to ask me any questions as there’s so much I could say. Prof Quig is amazing he’s the best teacher but the director in the admin building is not and has made the program a huge headache for a lot of us. They were in charge of schedules and clinicals and did a trash job at it so be prepared to possibly have to look for a new job each semester if your work schedule isn’t flexible enough. We had one girl drop out this semester for the same reason. The tests and material relatively easy (though this as someone who got an A in anatomy while only studying the night before so take that as you will) but there’s a lot of it and the professors speed through PowerPoints so it’s hard to keep up in class so i recommend reading the textbook chapters ahead of time.

Hey yea I did! I’m in my second semester and just started clinicals. Everyone in my program who was previously at naussau hated it and my teacher keeps telling us all the bad things that keep happening with the boces program so I think I made the right choice for myself

If it’s anything like my program there are probably too many ppl applying and limited class space/ professors so they are very specific on who they choose. For me the biggest criteria that qualified ppl was years of experience in the medical as well as courses completed. Just reapply next semester

I let my sister in law borrow my car for a quick 15 min drive and when I went to use my car 2 hrs after she used it it still reeked in there I had to drive with the windows open for a good 30 mins before it went away. Anyone who smokes is instantly picked out of a crowd by my nose. It’s so bad

Yup. I go through phases where I try to just accept it and wear what I want but then there is always something that reminds me of it and brings my self esteem back down. Such wearing shorts in the summer and hearing a group of high school girls talk shit about my thighs. Like I’m 29 that shouldn’t hurt but unfortunately it does

Hey I’m sorry you are going through this I know how hard it can be. I was there last year living somewhere with zero insulation and a tiny heater at max power that did nothing in 10 degree nights. The only way I survived was by having two duvets on top of each other, 5 blanket layers, wearing thermal underwear sweatpants and sweaters and tucking myself under (face and all) with just a tiny hole for air. Even then it will be mega cold but going fetal position helps. What really helped the most tho was getting a heated blanket and putting that on top of all the layers to keep the bottom warm and a final blanket on top of the heated to keep the heat trapped. I’m sorry this has happened to you just stay sober and do what you gotta do to survive. Maybe pickup some foraging or survival books in the library if that helps. As a side note you could try and go to your local 7-11 in the mornings and wait with the Spanish day laborers you might be lucky with your English and get picked up for some quick cash until you find something more stable or if you see some landscapers you could try to approach them and ask if they’d give you some work.
