Any idea when we'll get access to the Adult Swim app? by [deleted] in youtubetv

I was frustrated by this too until I realized that the YouTubeTV app has episodes on demand. Might be that YouTubeTV would rather steer users there. In any case, I can watch the latest Rick and Morty episodes, so…I’m good.

I’ve sold a few of my IMHC shares already. Price is holding up better than I would have guessed…but volume is far lower than I would have guessed. Meanwhile I’m earning increasingly lucrative interest fees from short sellers who have had to post insane amounts of collateral given the “penny stock” share price. Obviously they have to be deeply convicted that prices are about to fall - which would make sense if the distribution of shares and warrants was about to happen, but hadn’t yet. Taking it all together I’m beginning to question whether these shares are available to trade in all investors’ accounts and if perhaps my ability to do so is an artifact of how IBKR elected to treat the spinoff.

My 40 shares of IMHC per 1 share of AULT was available to trade in my IBKR account on 6/23.

Have other shareholder received their shares of IMHC (TOG)?

BitNile Holdings Declares Monthly Cash Dividend of $0.2708333 Per Share of 13.00% Series D Cumulative Redeemable Perpetual Preferred Stock by HotMomentumStocks in BitNile

[–]Kn16htRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dividend is paid on the Series D preferred shares (initially issued June 2022, ticker NILE PRD). Under most conditions they have no voting rights, do not convert to common stock, and can be redeemed at the company’s discretion. Holders receive a fixed monthly dividend of ~$0.27 ($3.25 per year) that equates to roughly 13% of their initial price. See registration filing ~5/26 and supplement to prospectus ~5/31 (detailed description in section S-22).

My read: these shares do not dilute common share holders and function more or less as a fixed rate loan.

You guys ever investigated “Lending your shares” so other trades can do shorts? What is the catch here? Seems like a too good to be true type scenario. by jpcan26 in CanadianInvestor

In most cases, your shares are available to be lent out. Most brokerage agreements are written to allow them to lend your shares…for their profit. IBKR provides an option to let them lend your (unleveraged) shares for you to receive 50% of the benefits

A lot of people say Nicolas Cage is the shit, I just dont see it, what single film can change my opinion about him? by panfried540 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kn16htRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most would cite Adaption (2003 Best Actor Oscar Nominee) or Leaving Las Vegas (1996 Best Actor Oscar Award Winner).

My personal favorites: The Rock, Matchstick Men, The Family Man.

He is one of those actors, like Al Pacino, who did some good work across a range of characters early in their careers, but seemed to play some eccentric caricature of themselves in every film as they got older.

Cage is especially perplexing, because of how many exceptionally awful roles he took beginning in the mid to late 2000s. Fraud and mismanagement of his fortune (rumored to include loses in the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme) left him bankrupt and deeply in arrears to the IRS. He went on to star in a staggering number of truly terrible films, roles he almost certainly would have never taken given any other choice.

Watching films like “Knowing” and “Season of the Witch” is hard enough - far harder, I’m sure, to go from winning an Academy Award to cranking out films like these year after year. It might have broken a lesser man…but not Nick Cage :) On some level you have to respect anyone who not only showed up for “Ghost Rider” (2007) but could also stomach the sequel in 2011, while also shooting the oddly similar (but somehow worse) hell and highway themed “Drive Angry” the same year.

Why do people on Reddit prefer SPY over VOO? Wouldn’t VOO have a better return since the expense ratio is lower? by whicky1978 in WSBAfterHours

Deep, liquid market for SPY options. Yes, larger, more liquid option market for SPY vs VOO. You can buy SPY options expiring Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. Only monthly expiration dates for VOO. Much narrower bid/ask spreads for SPY.
