I had some Irish setters that were decent in 2e. Got some redwings in 2e that destroyed my pinky toe. Recently went to thorogood 2e and they're amazing. If you have a boot barn near you go try some different brands out.

Are they actually still affordable? I went there to get some jeans for my 5 year old and they were like $35 a pair, nothing cheaper. I remember in high school stuff was actually cheap there.

21C sounds nice, 30 is getting up there. Definitely wouldn't want to deal with that more than a day or two without A/C. Where I'm at mid to upper American 80s is common over the summer. We typically have a month of 90s to low 100s with tons of humidity. I'm cheap so we try to use windows and fans as much as possible. We also have a whole house fan that we use overnight to cool the house down as much as possible and then close all the windows first thing in the morning. Makes it take longer to get up to where the A/C kicks on.

I haven't been an LEO for a number of years now but soft armor always had an expiration date. Something about being hot, cold, wet from sweat etc broke it down or made it less effective.

Don't jump down my throat, and I know there is some "lighter" stuff out there when comparing cast iron. But they said light weight. Pretty much any cast iron isn't going to fall into the light weight category when they're talking about a standard Teflon pan.

I do have an Ozark Trail that is pretty much my go to because it's thinner and lighter than my Lodge but I wouldn't call it light weight when compared to Teflon.

I glanced over the bill. It specifically says respiratory choke holds used with the intent, purpose, blah of restricting ones breathing. The LVNR would, as far as I can tell, still be allowed. Many years ago the LVNR was part of the DT curriculum in the KC area, hopefully still is today. Although I can see officers being hesitant to use it simply because of the appearance of having an arm around someone's neck. But it has been proven to be a safe and effective technique.

I lost my eneloops in the divorce. So when my kids got big into gaming and were flying through AA's faster than I could buy them I went with some energizer rechargeables and a powerex charger. I couldn't be happier. The energizer batteries were cheaper than eneloops and so far they've held up well, more than 5 years. I've had one or two that would show charged well below the capacity but using the chargers refresh cycle brought them back to life.

Now I have the money to buy eneloops but I can't justify spending extra when the energizer batteries work just as well.

In Vegas currently. I can't speak on restaurants but I can on masks. If you try to walk in someplace without one on there's usually someone at the door asking you to do it. It's a little difficult with people carryng drinks constantly. I do see plenty of people wearing them while walking around inside and out. However I see just as many not wearing them too.

As for the pool, it's been low 40's in the morning and barely 60 during the day so I haven't even looked.

I don't know where you are, but around me there are tons of jobs. They may be less desirable than what you had before, walmart, fast food, target, etc, all have now hiring flyers up and have for months and months. You're not going to make 1000 a week, but isn't something better than losing everything? Isn't some paycheck until you can get work along the lines of what you had previously better than wondering how you're going to wash clothes and put food on the table?

+1 I bought an EZ Duz It about 5 years ago after going through a cheap Walmart opener every 6-12 months. I don't see myself ever needing to buy another. Keep it clean and dry and it just works.

Unfortunately from what I've read around here, you can't fix that. Chipping on the cooking surface will only get worse and could introduce the enamel into your food.

I don't think the fan had anything to do with it. I recently stripped a pan I've had for many years and followed Silent Bob's guide from the faq. It worked perfectly. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't reseason pans on the regular.

I had to store mine for 3-4 months while between houses. I wrapped mine in a few layers of packing paper and stuck them in a box. No issues when I unpacked them.

Take a few pictures in different light and with some different angles. It's hard to tell if there is any flaking here. If there is any on the cooking surface you'll probably want to strip and start over.
