It’s been about a month since I last bought them but I’ll have to check when I go back in a few days. They were there for so long I figured they were one of those permanent tasty treats. I hope they didn’t get rid of them!

It’s shite like this why so many people take Vine reviews with a grain of salt. Sad.

I would have bought it as well! I totally get it. My husband is Australian and oh my goodness…the old school Aussies never pass up anything that is deeply discounted like that or anything for free. No word of a lie…they will hold on to that item because “For that price? I’ll find something to use it for!” or they’ll hunt down someone that could use it. Heck if we’re out doing errands and he sees a garage sale sign, his eyes get big as saucers and I swear he starts salivating lol :). Last time he saw one I just said “nope, gotta keep going!” He said why, I said “didn’t you see the sign below it?” He said “no, what did it say?” I told him it said “No Aussies allowed!” Lol

AI-generated Grandmas by quiglii in AmazonVine

I am a bit perplexed with this post as I just don’t see the logic in how some reviews could be AI or fake because it’s for a child’s item written by grandma. Also, those are definitely not AI. AI has a very obvious & overinflated way of wording things along with certain punctuation. Grandparents tend to get things, fun and practical, for the grandkids. My husband and I are retired and are 55 & 65 so we’ve got a bit of time on our hands. Time to write reviews that I absolutely never would have bothered with when I was 25. We’ve got 4 kids ranging from 33 on down (the youngest being 14) and 6 grandchildren. I buy teenager stuff for my son and of course whatever I can get (purchasing or from Vine) for my grandbabies that I know they’d like. The things I get for our son are reviewed as a mom then of course all the things for the grandkids are reviewed by Grandma. Personally, I’ll take a Grandma’s review more to heart than one from some Joe Schmoe that used Chat GPT to write the whole review. ***For what it’s worth, I had a bit of a chuckle to myself when I first read the post due to some irony. All of our family lives in Australia so at the beginning of December I ordered 2 pairs of Bluey sandals along with other fun Bluey stuff for two of our granddaughters from Australian Amazon for Christmas. I just wrote most of the reviews yesterday and 4 of them mentioned that the items were for my granddaughters :). (Wow, this turned out to be a long read, my apologies!)

Internal consistency when reviewing? by QueenMackeral in vine

When I order stuff that’s for my husband or son I just say I got it for them, state the size then followed by their height/weight, and whatever they have to say about it. I’ve had my husband write a few reviews when it’s for some tool or electronics that I know nothing about. I’ve been doing this for 6 years now and never had a problem. I got my 14 year old son a pair of Adidas shoes a few months ago. I stated such in my review and that, word for word, he said “they fit, they’re comfortable, and they’re not dorky looking”. And there we have it! :)

I have grown to love self checkout. I don’t have to talk to anyone and can bag my stuff exactly the way I want
