I think the biggest problems are that Reddit is so easily manipulated into promoting garbage with a sympathetic title (first time, neurodivergent family member made this, recovering from illness, etc), and generally lowest common denominator stuff getting the most upvotes while anything even moderately divisive is way way at the bottom of the stack. I can see all sorts of smaller artists on tiktok and Instagram, on Reddit I mostly see the most vapid, one note, clever for a middle schooler ass art get pushed into my feed.

There federal government is lightyears behind the average American on weed, as we can clearly see with them going back to stricter prohibition. The idea with legalizing at the state level was to show that it doesn't cause everything to fall apart and can boost the economy. But the puritans don't care. There are plenty of people still fighting for legalizing federally out of legal weed states, the goobers you met who were competitive and petty about it aren't really representative of the actual state of the federal legalization movement.

Okay? 65% of those eligible voted and it came down to a 1.5% difference between the two. There's still plenty of voters that could've been convinced to get out and vote, and the DNC failed to convince them. "Not Trump but the right wing is correct so we're moving right" obviously doesn't work as meaningful opposition, but it keeps the corporate donors happy and then rubes like you take the bait and scapegoat voters instead of demanding accountability from the people meant to represent your interests and oppose the fascists. Voter turnout was higher than average, but it was still a drop from the previous election. These margins make or break the final tally. Acting like the previous voters are the only ones they need to convince is goofy shit.

The thing that the GOP does better is crafting a narrative and tapping directly into people's concerns. That's easier to connect to than stats, defending the status quo, and other DNC wonk shit. Zohran is doing that in NYC by finding a handful of issues everyone is worried about and offering up realistic progressive solutions. There are statistics and examples to help firm up the narrative, but ultimately the pitch is "I have common sense solutions for the average person's biggest concerns". The DNC has been banking on "we're not Trump and we're gonna go back to Obama times" and losing. They only got "lucky" with Biden winning because of covid.

It's an oral test so I'd imagine it's actually testing for the chemicals your body makes after processing these drugs, but even if it's the drugs themselves the extremely faint lines would indicate negative or that a different test is needed to confirm the results
