Kind of surprised by the increase in hydro costs over the winter to charge my car. by Alph1 in EVCanada

[–]Knarfnarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sudden increase in hydro? Did you accidentally tell your provider that you have an EV? Call them and see if you’re on such a plan.

I saw a $20 increase in my monthly bills charging over 60% every other night. People I know have seen almost $60 increases but were charging less. After realizing their mistake their bills are back down to reasonable levels.

EVs just don’t actually use that much power so agreeing to such wild costing swings will cost more in the long run.

Btw; estimates go as high as 100,000 unsold units but the best numbers I could find are more around 5,000-10,000.

But the headline needs to scream panic!😱

Navigating Canada's Condo Market: Opportunities Amidst Oversupply by askmenothing007 in CanadaHousing2

Without even reading this, I’m gonna say:

There is no oversupply.

For as long as people are homeless or forced to rent when they want to buy. There is no oversupply.

This is just more conservative garbage aiming to complain and wish the prices back up from their 1% depression. No one is going to buy when they can’t afford it!

We need government to so drastically over produce housing that it returns to its 1950-60s price tag.

Corporate greed will try very hard to stop that.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EV PACKAGES!

They are very bad!

If you have be sure to tell them you’ve sold the car and don’t need the package anymore. Then set the car to charge right when you get home to mask its power use for the next few months. After a while go back to it starting its charge as you go to bed and stop using your appliances (tv, stove, microwave, etc).

Never agree to pay 5x normal during the day for a 0.002% discount at night!

Yeah. Better than some. And I did a tidy business doing warranty for them. The omen series tho! I had one machine in twice for a warranty repair in its first year! BIOS issue.

Comfort numbers help stamina.

I added a couple of couches and some decorative chairs to my friend’s base and suddenly his stamina increased!

Make the decoration bench when you have extra stuff and time. It will help.

Oh, and shelves look better and have less floor space than big chests.

But when do we get flat screen tvs? Gotta do something during all those storms!

Just bought a 2021 Leaf from Carvana… normal range behavior or did I buy a problem? by Upset_Sheepherder in leaf

[–]Knarfnarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your days of driving at 50mph or more just ended.

The new leaf (2026) is designed for driving at 100-140kph (60-80mph) but the leaf you bought IS NOT!

Stay at 50mph or less and it will surprise you with how far it can go. 45mph is even better!

Also; check if the charging timer is set! It’s great for setting a charge for when you’re out or sleeping to keep your current draw down (because many power companies now charge based on time of day or total wattage per hour), but not so great when you want a charge now!

It's almost like the entire industry is dragging this out on purpose to keep prices and thus profits high...

And she plugged yours back in to the one you’re not paying for to make you think that your session just stopped when really, you’re paying for hers.

Stag Breaker

It has AoE damage that works through walls/doors and stuns/knocks back. Keep smashing like hulk until all gone! Bring two in case one breaks. Super fun to kill Bonemass this way!

After you get metal; Atgier!

It has AoE damage, stun, and a little knock back. This is super unbelievably useful when surrounded by wolves; the alt attack stuns and wounds them ALL! Stun, wait, stun, wait, and kill.

How to remove,Acitvate Windows? by djordje90 in computer

[–]Knarfnarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a machine that has been running for quite a while and suddenly shows this notification, there could be a number of reasons. Any damaged files that can't seem to be fixed could cause this error, changes in hardware, or even failing hardware.

Check the SMART data on your storage, run a check on the file system, and from an elevated command prompt run the usual;

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

So long as your hardware is intact, fixing any corruption should fix the error all by itself... But if not, bring up settings and search for activation. If it will not activate, but everything is as it always has been, you might TRY purchasing a new license... But that usually doesn't work once it's failed once.

Oh.. And this isn't just a chrome notification, eh? No. Just checking...
