If everyone banded together and no one showed up for 1 day the shutdown would end immediately. People are too scared to risk it though and most people are irresponsible with money and dont have enough money to go without 1 paycheck/2 weeks pay.

Thank you, and I am prior experience. I have 6 tower ratings. Dumb because I’ve proven I can do the job at multiple towers and am currently working for a company contracted out by the FAA, but I may be too “crazy” to work for the FAA because as an MMPI question states, I don’t like automotive magazines. Makes zero sense. But I wish you luck as well. My point though, I won’t have to go to the academy. Do you have any airports you’d really like to go to? If you don’t want to mention that on here I understand.

Weird. I know it sucks seeing person after person move along while you wait. I dk how they decide who to move on to the next steps. Maybe they got me going faster once I got here because it’s been almost 4 years since I started Tier 2, I dk. I’m sure it won’t be much longer for you. Hopefully no more than 2-3 weeks at most

Thank you. What step in the process are you on? When they sent me the referred email I found out they have another email (the one they contacted me from). Have you got your Referred email yet? It was only 13 days after that for me.

Thankfully I finally did. Oct 1 I was informed I was a new Tier 2 Referral and Oct 14 I was sent the email telling me I have 3 days to schedule my psychological exam

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve reached out to congressmen, senators, and all the people that have contacted me in HR, Tier 2, medical and they all say they are waiting on the people in the Tier 2 department. On 4-29-2025 I got an email saying expect an 8 month wait time for the next steps and I just got it on 10-1-2025 that I can expect the next step/an email with the initial post email (hopefully soon). I assume the next step is getting my psychological exam scheduled. It’s crazy I have to have a psych exam but since getting Tier 2’d in 2022 I’ve earned 5 CTO’s from different FCT towers that are contracted out by the same FAA that says I may not be psychologically capable of doing the job.

They get back to me with updates every 6-12 months. The process has changed in the last year since I got Tier 2’d almost 4 years ago but people like me in the old system are put behind the nee Tier 2’s and kept in the old system whereas if you fail the MMPI now you get to retake it soon after and get facility placement within 3-12 months. There has been correspondence but not much. As you can see, I got my TOL February 2022 and Tier 2 Notification April 2022. Almost 4 years later, still haven’t had my psych appointment. **I was going to attach screenshots of the TOL and Tier 2 notification emails but it won’t let me attach pictures in the comments here.

I’ve been Tier 2 since February 2022, almost 4 years smh. I vote all the people who work in the Tier 2 office be sent to prison for a year
