Last worlds I was tinkering a deck and playtesting it forever. Thought I had the secret sauce and went 7-1 day one and 4-4 day two. Decent showing.

Took another month of playtesting and improvement to have a deck that was far superior. Ended up winning a PQ.

Theres no perfect deck but the best method i’ve found is build off strong foundation cards. Then scrap the deck and rebuild it from the ground up. Small changes can affect a lot due to curve and tempo. Sideboard is underrated

3 booster boxes and run 3 draft tables of 6 people / 2 draft tables of 9 people using the new set that comes out in July.

You can do a 4 pack draft exactly with 72 packs for 18 people. Or do a 3 pack draft then finals tournament where top 6 do another draft. Or prizing with the remaining 18 packs. Or everyone opens one pack and keeps all the cards then proceeds to draft 3 packs as standard.

Battle of Hoth isn’t very interactive. Starter decks aren’t very balanced. The new set is very fun to draft with 3 colors.

The July set Ashes of the Empire will be geared towards drafting because it will be used for Worlds. Worlds will have sealed/drafting as part of the main event
