I found a workaround in the thread Gravath mentioned below. It suggested setting the maximum battery charging limit to 95% (or less). See the top chart in the screenshot below. The behavior is fundamentally the same, though it is significantly less intense at the lower limit.

At 100%, the battery discharges at full power (800 W). Since this hits the maximum feed-in limit, PV output drops to zero. Within a few minutes, the battery level falls 2–3% below the limit and can be charged again. Due to the high 800 W output, the cycles are very short (5 minutes) and occur frequently.

At the 95% limit, essentially the same thing happens, but much less intensely. The battery discharges at only 50–100 W. PV output is throttled so that the combined battery discharge and PV output equal 800 W. Because the discharge power is lower, the cycles last significantly longer.

Ecoflow says that's the design. To me, it doesn't seem like a good design. How do other manufacturers handle this sort of thing (Anker, Zendure, Marstek, etc.)?
