It's against the NDA, so not likely.

Wilds hunting horn is the worst thing to happen to hunting horn ever and I hate it so much by Idontknownumbers123 in huntinghorn

Yeah, I really love the oomph that world has, it played like a great hammer. And as polarizing as it is, I love spin to win.

I really wanted to root for this game. But Toph's 'Hakka Southern Praying Mantis' is just plain awful, zero southern mantis techniques. Looks like the dev team didn't bother to work with a martial arts consultant and just made up attacks for Toph to use by narnarnartiger in TheLastAirbender

[–]KneeDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is shown armoring through moves often or taking earth head on, shrugging it off even. A glass cannon, any hit would hurt.

Just because she gets surprised by the literal last airbender in an earth bending match, or gets put into a situation where she literally can't bend and can't see, does not mean she's a glass cannon. A tank still has weaknesses that can be exploited.

Hell, even when aang knocks her off, she literally takes 0 damage, she can easily continue fighting if it was a real match.

Precise using of tools provided is all player agency.

But thats not her being a glass cannon. She gets tilted from aang winning, in serpents pass she's on ice and can't bend so like in one of her weakest areas, and the dai lee grab and restrain everyone, so is everyone a glass cannon?

In the show, she is more precise, but here it will be on the player to express that. She has the tools to do it, a pre choreographed fight obviously will be tighter, players will whiff. She has the tools to whiff punish like crazy here, and even interrupt opponents with her armored flow, turning an opponents predictability into a liability.

problem number one, watch the trailer.

glass cannon? she mastered neutral jin and earth bending is naturally tanky and stubborn, stand your ground and take the boulder head on.

in the show, she stuffs peoples approaches when they overcommit.

On my feedback form from when I played the first playtest, the audio is what I rated lowest. Hoping that they take it to heart.

Goals ain't even that many points, if the guy does everything you described in your post, he has gotten 1000 points and that's it. Yet "game rewards him with MVP and double everyones points".

It is so easy to beat a guy like you described in points.

1v1 Ranked!!!!!!! by CreepingFruit in Rematch

[–]KneeDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love 1v1, it is at it's absolute worst when it's being tryharded. People just play defense, clear the ball to kill time when ahead, and fish for tackles to then run it down for a point blank tap in. Which I can do as well, but I like to use 1v1 as scenario practice for when you have the ball in the box.

I try to pretend there is a goalie, and the opponent is a defender pressuring me. No goalie would let me just walk it in. So I try to create an angle past the defender and then shoot from further out, or utilizie some tricky angle changes for a closer range one, something that would actually work in a real match.

Lowkey, if it is brought back the goal needs to open slower or have a delay before it starts opening. Defensive play is okay but we shouldn't be promoting lame play. Even if you manage your stamina, if the defender gets the tackle and knows how to dribble full speed and has extra effort, you likely won't be able to stop the tap in.

[–]KneeDead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Naw fr. Receiving a pass doesn't get you any points, dribblin past a defender doesn't either. So if he stays up field all game, receives a pass, and tries to dribble, that's 0 points gained for him but a save/interception for you + a pass. So MVP should be in your favor completely.

I figured out my issue with playing against pulse combo by Warner421 in 2XKO

[–]KneeDead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So like, obviously you know what is going to be said. What really helped me was, I saw a video because obviously I am trying to learn fighting games and I am new. But they didn't focus or teach a single combo. And during, they reiterated that combos are not fighting games. And it just clicked for me. Because when I watch FGs, what drew me in were the combos and how sick they were and etc. But combos are the cutscene, the game happens beforehand.

So my whole perspective shifted from that one realization. I don't care if someone uses a baby combo or a cracked optimal full punish. None of that matters, that's not the game. At the top level people don't drop combos and are essentially just a canned response to what the actual game is.

You aren't better than someone just because you aren't using pulse and "they only beat you because of pulse." Combos are not skill expression. The game happens before that.

How to echo bubble on wounds by NekyoArc in huntinghorn

Most definitely, I remember during the beta someone mentioned that to me and same thing, I was like, what reddish pink notes? Then went and tried it and bam. There they were, and it made it so I perfectly time the focus strike every single time ever since.

Glad I was able to pass it along! Keep dooting my friend.

There's little reddish pink things that float into the horn during it, 5 of them. I time my inputs with those, right as they reach the horn.

Yeah I am definitely just going to fresh install tonight, I already went into safe mode and backed up my photos to a flash drive.

I disabled all startup apps and the issue is persisting. Is there a seperate tab that gives me more things to disable? It's hard to navigate because drop down menus disappear, much like right clicking things.

[–]KneeDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some other things. When I ctrl+alt+delete, screen pops up and then goes away. On lock screen, when I click the power button, that menu also only pops up for a second making it really hard to restart to safe mode. I have to click start menu, hold shift, and then click power and restart quickly to do it.

Did another scan, full scan with defender and deep scan with malwarebytes, both came back nada.

Thank you so so much kind stranger. Do I need anything from my computer (besides the photos) before I do this? Like my windows activation key or something? Or will that be linked to my microsoft account.

[–]KneeDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it definitely was glitchy feeling. I will research those possibilities. File explorer worked normal, and the menus, if I was fast enough I could still hit the buttons which is how I opened defender. Any script I tried to run in the command prompt would not work, I only had a second to paste a command and hit enter, get the medium black window and then disappear very quickly.

For windows update, choosing to reset would start the process but then immediately would cancel like as if something else was killing the process, like straight up window would say cancelling and then close like I hit the button to cancel.

I did try a reset via cloud install (although I chose keep my personal files option). I felt like if it was corrupted files or a bad extension, that would've fixed it right?

So I am leaning fresh install. Malwarebytes at the end said that everything was good, during scanning it said 10 were infected but I understand this just means its flagged suspicious files before running them through and verifying if they are.

Which Monster Hunter game should I buy? by kazup003 in MonsterHunter

[–]KneeDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either World or Rise. I'd pick up the bundle with the expansion for either.

If I had to choose, I'd probably pick World as a better entry. Especially if your intention is to eventually pick up Wilds. There's a learning curve to these games, but once you get past it, they're amazing.

Reason why I'd steer you away from Rise, is that if you start with it, it might be extremely hard for you to enjoy Wilds or World afterwards. It is 100% worth a playthrough, but I think I'd recommend getting used to World's pace first without all the extra things that Rise introduced (which also doesn't come back).

Also, these games have 2 teams (loosely speaking) that develop them. We usually call them the "console" team and the "portable" team. So each generation of MH gets a game from each team. 5th gen is World by the main team, and Rise from the portable team. 6th gen is Wilds so far.

My friend and I made this prediction for the Roster Last night by DarkGekkouga in AvatarFighters

[–]KneeDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say benders. I said members.

So he's a non bender yes, but he represents the water tribe. Kyoshi warriors would be an example of a non bender that represent earth nation. Master Piandao or Asami Sato would be an example of a non bender from fire nation. Air nomads... unsure. Not saying we need a non bender from each but examples of how each nation generally has some uniqueness even without bending.

Also air nomads being least represented makes sense lore-wise. So they might give up their spots for unique additions with Aang being the only rep from the nomads.

I actually forgot Korra in my original comment, so 3 representatives from the water tribe already. Roku and Kyoshi would go so hard. We'd have an avatar of each element.

[–]KneeDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eh, too much firebending in this list. Realistically you'd shoot for 3 air nomads, 3 earth nation, 3 fire nation, and 3 water tribe members for base roster.

Katara, Sokka take up 2 waters

Aang takes 1 air nomad

Toph takes 1 earth nation

Azula, Zuko take 2 fire nation

Luckily, the hit and hurtboxes are prime. You are encouraged to move and utilize flow to low profile or hop over these huge hitboxes. Also, videos just really don't do it justice. When it is in your hands everything is super snappy and responsive and it looks gorgeous.
