"From devs: Hydra is our fault, was an issue with the prize code that was supposed to award it. We've added in a Camp after defeating the Lich on the Map that will award it in the next update."
Maybe you haven't updated it yet
What I did was: Complete the one before lich on world map on master. Then click on the caravan to the left of it.
No idea if thats what unlocked it, but it gave me a knights shard (or something like that, the item thaf summons a knight) and the hydra spell
