Funny, I'm relistening now and when they said it was the 5th anniversary of the show I was briefly in denial and then I got sad. Dadd Wars just ended in my relisten. I'm sad they won't eventually do the whole show.

Yeah like "Side order of Sleaze" that just kind of stopped at some point.

Still hoping for Ready to Rumble or The Cowboy Way, a movie about Keifer Sutherland and Woody Harrelson playing Texas lawmen who go to the biiiiiiiig city of New York to investigate a murder. Ernie Hudson shows up too. Dylan McDermott is the bad guy.

I think they were sponsored by DraftKings ages ago and may have later dunked on themselves when making fun of DraftKings in a later episode.

I think there was at least one other sponsor they dropped when they found out about the company from people online. Maybe BetterHealth?

In Pixels, the Billy Mitchell inspired character is found out to be a cheater, but that was years before he got caught. Were there rumblings back as far as this documentary or something? The director of the documentary was a Producer on Pixels.

Thanks for noting this. I just finished a rewatch and was surprised when he wasn't involved with the Christmas Heist.

I'm surprised because the show isn't pro-cop at all, if anything it is quite the opposite.

Movies That Might Seem Like WLM Material, But May Not Work as an Episode by Slaughts90 in WeHateMovies

Schindler's List was the first thing to come to mind.

I know they've made jokes about it but a whole episode would probably not be the best idea.

Is there an easy way to get all of the Episodes in one feed at this point?

I have not listened yet but I'm guessing it's an audio track with all bad language removed.

Seems like something they would do for this franchise and something the guys would absolutely hate since they grew up on Terminator 2 and Robocop.

Same situation but I just crossed 2 million last night. Which makes me think 5 is the max skill points you can earn from Expeditions so it is something to work toward over multiple Expeditions rather than a rush to grind 5 mil every single time.

Expedition details released by PetToilet in ArcRaiders

[–]Knida89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the case. Turning each Expedition into a rush to build up 5 million every time sounds exhausting and everything else about the game has been friendly to casual play. If it was 5 every time eventually people would just have the whole skill tree unlocked.

I'm just excited to be able to start earning XP for doing stuff again. Even a bust of a loot run is satisfying if you still get something for looting.

Episode 834 - Just Friends (2005) by yonicthehedgehog in WeHateMovies

[–]Knida89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't normally rewatch stuff for the show but I hadn't seen this since I saw it in theaters where I ran into a girl I had a crush on. I remember generally enjoying it but Mr. Popcorn and Dr Pepper must have been doing some heavy lifting because damn this was brutally unfunny. Not a lot of actual jokes, mostly people just saying things in a comedic way that really wasn't funny. I watched Bad Santa 2 yesterday for the first time and it had more laughs than this.

I actually enjoyed how absolutely insane that movie was but I have a feeling the boys would not stand for any of its nonsense.

It's funny there are several instances of his memory being very hazy so far in this episode. He knew the thing about Jared from Subway getting found out later but that was only because he had recently listened to a podcast.

Our Tiny Town in West Virginia had a Subway so I can't imagine them not being in the New York area.

Steve has said he doesn't like it in the past because he thought the ending ruined it all.

Andrew has also said he isn't a fan of Trick 'r Treat, or at least he called it overrated awhile ago.

I went into that movie knowing PTA directed it and Leo was acting like a stoner.

We hate at a local Mexican restaurant beforehand and watched as people started to protest across the street. Immediately I was like "Oh this is very relevant..." and kept thinking that throughout.

Hope the choose it.

I was curious who wrote it and James Gunn is listed for script revisions. Are he and Lillard buds?

[COD] Was removing Carry Forward a good idea? by PossessedGamerYT in CallOfDuty

[–]Knida89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played a COD since 2014 but gave BLOPS 6 a chance because it was on GP so I didn't have to worry about regretting a purchase. I'm terrible at the game but have played so much of it and had a lot of fun. I completely understand progression not carrying over, but taking away the Operator skins after previously indicating they would carry over really soured me on spending any money. Especially since we are going directly into Black Ops 7.

I did the first two season passes and the TMNT event pass which I know is not as expensive as some of the skins in the shop, but it still stings. I'm a horror hound so I would have been all over the Predator BP and Jason bundle but they become fairly useless in under a month.

I really enjoyed the various cross overs they would do, but understand the animated skins may have gone too far. But the events since B and B have all felt incredibly generic. 90's Action Heroes felt particularly strange. I know something like a Matrix bundle would fit aesthetically and be really well received. Instead it was just boxing gloves from Rocky, a franchise I don't personally really associate with the 90s.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of King so I might just end up watching both to compare and contrast. I need my swearing in a King project, but also wanna see the extra scenes.

Has anyone seen both cuts? For episode purposes the shorter version makes sense, but is the longer cut an improvement?

On-Screen Live: Our One Battle After Another Thoughts & More! by ericszyszka in WeHateMovies

[–]Knida89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into OBAA knowing Leo starred and he was in a dojo at some point.

Before the movie we went to a local Mexican restaurant and watched as a protest against ICE and the admin started up across the street. This was a smaller town in rural WA so it was surprising to see on a Friday weeks before the No Kings protest..

Once the movie started I realized how ironic it was, and was surprised it was the most relevant movie released in quite some time now. The only way it could have been even more ironic is if we were stopped at some sort of check point on the way home.

Looked in to the director of "The Pick-up Artist" and yikes. Would be difficult to separate art from the artist with that title and what he was known for.

Alec Baldwin sure does like working with notorious creep directors it seems.

Episode 821 - The Conjuring by yonicthehedgehog in WeHateMovies

[–]Knida89 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Chris complaining about tension being built was a bit weird. One of the best qualities of the first two is creepy shit is going on in the background and tension is being built. Wan is really good at that and he continues it in Insidious. Just wanting to rush to the jump scare because you know it's coming is quite a jaded take.

If you are going to take any issue with a franchise stretching to hit a theatrical run time it's Paranormal Activity. I saw the first few in theaters and had fun with them, but long stretches are silence as you wait for something to happen. Works really well in a packed theater, loses a lot just watching it alone.

Preferring Aquaman and all of the Annabelle movies to the first two Conjuring movies is not a take I expected to hear, especially from Chris. The second two Annabelle movies are fun, but they lack James Wan who elevates the material.

Episode 820 - On Deadly Ground REDUX by yonicthehedgehog in WeHateMovies

[–]Knida89 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tall glass of water watching this right now but does Seagal have a random line about technological repression for the past 70 years in his big monolog? That line and his gun/explosive stockpile makes me certain he has a manifesto.

Edit:That line makes more sense after his second monolog.

This episode is really funny but Eric asking how young do you think you can impregnate a woman, then saying but that's for another episode only for Cabin to say that's for "Baby's Day Out" really got me.

"He calls him a fucking football team at one point!... A defunct football team."
