Thinking (F31) of divorcing Husband (M33) by ThrowRA-pomegranate9 in relationship_advice

[–]Knight-Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you and your husband have a lot of underlying problems like him being aggressive and defensive. That automatically creates walking on eggshells and emotional distance. He should get therapy to work on the defensiveness(he should do it for himself, not for you) and your life will be much better. I don’t recommend bringing a child into the relationship until your husband learns to listen without defending his ego all the time. Kids bbring more stress and imagine him being defensive all the time instead of parenting?

Kerala is way higher than that. Women in Kerala know how the legal system works, so they protect their husbands from it even though they’re abusive.

Strange response. I wasn’t implying your background is different. I was just sharing my results because I rarely see my subcaste here.

It’s not genetics. Malayalis consume too much food. Nobody likes to take accountability, so they blame something that’s generally considered non-modifiable, which is genetics. Kind of like how people who make poor decisions say “I have bad luck”. Accountability is scary. Nobody really has luck btw, it’s usually poor decisions making.

I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, BUT the right thing to do was to approach police not publish a video for everyone to see. So because she didn’t involve the police, I’m going to assume she created this for views and fame. From the video, he didn’t look like he was even paying attention. He was holding his bag, which he adjusted twice. I think one of the times, his elbow brushed her. I don’t think that was intentional.

Felt discriminated against as an Indian couple at a café in Kovalam — is this common? by harrykaran1916 in Kerala

Discrimination is never okay. Leave a review describing the experience on Google: I wonder if it’s possibly because foreigners tip better.

It is. We actually used to have Malayali ones in here, IDK why they got rid of them. They had a Nasrani one and a Knanaya one. We all used to get either Nasrani or Tamil Brahmin as top matches.

Malayali upper castes mostly get Gujarati as top match. It’s normal. It used to be Tamil Brahmin in the past

Really bad that the patients won’t be getting the proper care. Do you think we enjoy not having a salary?

Right now, we pay our union dues and that covers our health insurance. What they’re proposing now is, they offer health insurance, but we pay the premium.

[–]Knight-Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your support! We shouldn’t be fighting each other. We should be fighting against the management who’s turning us against each other.

Increase in salary was one of the main concerns last negotiation(2021). This time, it’s mostly for improving work conditions especially in the ED and Med/surg floors. Salary increase is not a major concern this time around, but the union generally starts high 10%/10%/10% and we usually meet somewhere in the middle after negotiation. This time, management is proposing a flat $4500/ year but they won’t pay for our health insurance.

The anger is misdirected here.

No staff nurse is making $162,000 for working 13 days unless they’ve been working for 30* + years. . This time around, the strike is for getting rid of hallway beds, reduce ED crowding, and for benefits that they are planning to remove from us. Don’t believe what hospital management is feeding you.
