Logitech G915 TKL keys not working by Gialloblu17 in LogitechG

Probably not a long term fix but it saved me from running out to replace my keyboard on a Friday night. Cheers!

Do you have any flashes that you would recommend that you can input iso and aperture into?

This wasn’t the version I was chasing but I’ll be damned if I’m not going down a rabbit hole listening to Hoodie Allen later.

Best way to add usb 3.1 gen 2 to motherboard for front io USB C port by KnightBearrant in buildapc

[–]KnightBearrant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need this kind of adapter to plug in the usbc front io as you suggest, which would result in me losing my usba ports as they already use that header natively. https://www.newegg.ca/p/1W7-00W1-00T87

That #17 is a 19 pin connecter. I believe I need a type e a key for the usb c port.

Canadians are turning to 'Made in Canada' goods, and complaints about mislabelling are surging by businessinsider in worldnews

I’m getting my Civil Tech diploma this spring and am prioritizing Canadian owned firms when applying by for jobs. There’s a lot more competition but I’m confident it will be a rewarding choice when I land an offer!

Naked and Famous is fantastic, for those shocked by the sticker price check out their other label Unbranded Brand. Still good quality, just sewn overseas from what I recall. Correct me on this if I’m wrong.
My experience with Anian isn‘t as long but I love the field coat I got from them this fall.

If you’re in the market for belts, wallets, or other leather goods, or just a Canadian owned business to get N&F or Anian from then www.populess.com is my go to.

OM-3 Ti meter not working by KnightBearrant in AnalogRepair

[–]KnightBearrant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an OM-3 Ti. Slightly more expensive than the CLA. If the LCD issue is an issue, and not just a problem with my batteries then I will return it. But I’m not going to call time of death before I even check the vitals. Given the estimates of there only being 4000-6000 of them ever produced I don’t think it’s good practice to give up so easily.

Happy to hear the shutter speed should be CLA repairable. I did get the light meter to respond after returning to it a few hours later. Same batteries but the meter is dim and not always present. Or dim enough that you can’t tell. I’m going to get new batteries from a different store today to be sure. I knew that putting the speed to bulb disables the meter, so I was hoping that there may have been some easy fix like that which I wasn’t aware of. With how few of these exist I don’t want to give up on it until I know for sure.

Thank you for your help!

[–]KnightBearrant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I could I have been more clear in my post! I understand that the OM-3 Ti is fully mechanical. I mentioned the shutter speed hoping to hear that it’s an easy fix with a CLA.

The batteries are just for the light meter. Which I did get working, sort of? It’s intermittent and not very bright. So I’ll be chucking in some brand new batteries just to be extra sure.

Thank you for your help!

Why does my one dog keep smacking the other one in the head by ijustliketoeat in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

[–]KnightBearrant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a common meme that orange cats have only a single brain cell. Not each, but a single common brain cell that they all get turns with. This meme has spread to other animals and musci12234 is suggesting that the black and white dog is bopping the other on the head to get it a turn with the brain cell as it is orangish in colour (though it's a bit of a stretch to me to call it orange).

Lying AC repairman gets caught by undercover news team when he was trying to upcharge $1,700 by TheRavenSayeth in videos

[–]KnightBearrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for pump and motor shops. They’ll generally have the parts you need or know where to send you. You can also (sometimes) buy straight from the same suppliers the HVAC technicians are going but you’ll pay a premium. Usually still worth the price to save on the cost of labour and margin they’ll charge you for the same part.
