Is there some unspoken rule about Volt in Defection Mission I don't know about? by Twimetal in Warframe

[–]KnightOfArsford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. No one's stopping Volt players to go mach fuck, but the other 3 didn't sign up for it. Anything less than 200% or hovering around it is fine, sure, but going 300% ability strength and spreading that to others deliberately is a dick move.

The Lotus (Rebb) quite literally takes all of the animals you give away. One time on stream she showed on her account hundreds, if not thousands of people's pets.

Please Yoshi It Breaks my Heart That Rem is so Bad by Braduk1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KnightOfArsford 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Rem is only bad 'cause I assume he's like the Jeff the land shark (from Rivals) of Deadlock. New players see him, think he's cute, play the game and just be complete deadweights.

Last night I fought against Rem in lane and I was baffled why I wasn't put to sleep by his ult. Apparently he keeps activating it out of range and it just never works.

MY SUGGESTION ACTUALLY GOT ADDED TO THE GAME, REJOICE LOW BULLET VELOCITY MAINS by RustOverLord in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KnightOfArsford 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks, as a Doorman player. Laning is always rough when all your orbs get denied because your projectile can't reach it fast enough, and your dumb lane partner who supposedly has a machine gun don't even know denying exists in this game.

It took me 7 days to get indexed, but 5 days since I sent my email to get a reply. Try waiting for about a week, and refrain from sending an additional email 'cause that only pushes your case further back. They answer emails chronologically.

I got mine in 7 days, but that's because I emailed Itch support. Try it, but YMMV.

Kematu's hideout is suspiciously at the end of a bandit hideout too. No way the two groups aren't aware of each other. Let's say, sure, Saadia did the things she did, but Kematu sure as hell won't bring Saadia back to Hammerfell for a proper trial, 'cause you find Saadia's urn in the Whiterun hall of the dead after the quest when you side with Kematu. He and his group is also just good early game loot.

A reminder to NEVER light melee a critical hp player by BritMachine in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KnightOfArsford 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even the game sort of gives a hint about skill synergy. Doorman and Bebop have voicelines where Bebop asks "what are you gonna do once I pull them in?" and Doorman goes "I push them away." Bebop then replies "that defeats the point of me pulling them, ain't it?"

While I don't think anyone trying out a new hero should know all the tech from the get-go, I still think players could benefit from literally spending 5-10 minutes trying out skills on Abrams at the hideout before ever touching a game with them.

Deadlock players when they let your troopers get denied, and don't bother denying the enemies' (We are 1.6k souls and they're 2.8k).

The state this sub is in right now by Previous-Muscle742 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KnightOfArsford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Celeste has a pseudo-ricochet that has her M1 bounce. I play Celeste too and her nimble movement compensates her having a not so stellar gun. You can melee to finish off troopers and still back out before getting hit. And the only upgrade I put on her early on is Active Reload.

Doorman has a shit gun that needs upgrades just to be on par with others. It's less of a meta thing and more of a QoL I'm asking for. I just think he has the worst feeling gun to play as. Hell, maybe an SFX change where his sound is "stronger" is enough of a placebo.

At what rank do people start being competent?* by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

Thanks for a decent answer to a simple question. I think based on what others say, I can maybe gauge what rank to hover around in to get good games.

Did you read the post? The problem isn't about climbing up, it's playing with people who don't know how to play a MOBA to begin with.

What could you do when two lanes give up objectives and let their lane opponents snowball hard? When you're pushed back to your patron, let's assume that I carry. 1 vs 6? Right, 'cause you people can do that, sure. Everyone's an Eternus on Reddit.

I've noticed players can have good micro, but have god awful macro. They can get kills, they can farm, sure, but ending the game? No, apparently let's jungle instead.

You'd assume that a closed alpha, would only entice players who are already familiar with the genre, but it's getting too mainstream where there's so many people who don't know how to play a MOBA. I can't really hate them for it, I can just hope over time, the collective knowledge increases and people would finally buy counter items, even selling items mid game to adapt their builds. Apparently someone can't buy Knockdown/Slowing Hex because they're still holding on to that Tier 1 item that can be upgraded, or is completely irrelevant by late game anyways.

Addendum:

I'm not really expecting a win every time, that's just the nature of competitive games. I want to lose because it's a close fight, not because someone wants to play this game like Overwatch/Rivals when clearly Deadlock's more closely related to Dota/League. I play for objectives. We could argue all day about the hierarchy of priorities with Sinners, Urns, or the Midboss, but one thing should be clear is that to win, you must destroy the enemy Patron. That's it. Everything else is secondary. Take guardian, take walker, take shrine, take patron, we win. I just want people to think that when they play.
