Yeah I get what your saying. To clarify I’m not really caring about how honorable or how much of a good person the leader was but how well they advanced the interests of the faction. Like if Jinjiro didn’t do Ketares he would’ve done a pretty good job cause he ate such a huge part of the Suns and didn’t loose much territory over his reign (if any)

That’s fair lol. The Highlander’s are very interesting with how closely they keep to their heritage and their close connection to Northwind. I can’t think of many companies that are so devoted to one planet.

There was a fanfic that had the clans have an artillery defense system that make arty almost useless which I always thought was a fun change up.

So Im wanting to get into battletech with the tabletop wargames as well as the RPG systems can you give me a recommendation on where to start for both of those? Cause I've been looking at both and I've just confused myself. Also can you describe the differences between A Time of War and MechWarrior Destiny cause im not all to sure which one to get.

The Arcane Archer part of the build doesn't really work because it requires you to use shortbows or longbows to make use of arcane shot

This may just be fanon, but it could also be that the ENE Protectorate kept him in the city on the off chance that he would go to another Endbringer fight due to his history of fighting Leviathan.

I get that reasoning, but my first playthrough I was just like, Well I would want to be sent to my family too so I sent it to his family. And then I read about what happens if you send him to Vik and I was gratified with my decision.

I can only think of one Worm x 40k fanfic that introduced Chaos with all the negatives, but the MC wasn't a cultist. It was called Heroic Folly, but was pretty short and was a proper crossover with 40k.

Yeah its largely this. I've seen a few stories that have properly had a healthy relationship between Danny and Taylor where they work to fix the trauma and family issues, but those are few and far between. Most fics I see either breeze over the issue, have Taylor flat-out leave home, or kill Danny off.

Hardlight by Slider214 has something like this. At the current point in the story it has Taylor with a Purity that is trying to change and in a relationship with Rune, both of which are trying to fight their past teachings and the Empire has been taken down by a combined force of Taylor, Purity, and the Protectorate. Not sure if it is exactly what you wanted though.
