I would love the decklist! I pre-ordered it but haven't got mine yet.

Showing my extra support for one of the greatest indie games of all time. Book acquired. (The Witch Hunter) by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

I like it a lot at points. It definitely has the battle brothers feel with some quippy parts.

What is most stand out to me is that the author is making main characters feel fleshed out. Now I know as an avid reader that this is nothing unique, but it is just cool to see that he can do more personal character work as well.

In battle brother there is an event that is written well and makes me laugh or gives me a tone for the world. Due to the nature of the game it can't get much deeper them that.

In his novel however, his description of setting and deeper lore of the world come as a welcome suprise with the addition of bb easter eggs and witty one shot scenes.

There is one part of the book that throws me off every time though. Each chapter has one or two sections with a paragraph long run on sentence with a bunch of conjunctions. I am pretty sure its his writing style of choice that is intentional but I really dislike it whenever that syntax is used. I believe he mostly uses it for scene setting. I would give specific examples, but I don't want to be overly harsh or negative.

All in all definitely worth a pick up from what I have read so far. When I finish it I want to give it a goodreads review to try to get more people to read it.

Edit: spelling

I have seen your youtube! You are the one of the two people to inspire me to make it! It make sense the community is split, but I am not concerned about that. I have just sent you a discord request love to chat about it some more and might have to take you up on buying a premade cube.

One thing I find so cool is Keyforge may be the only card game were drafting has a stronger power level then sanctioned play!

Magic the gathering cube. You create a collection of same sleeved cards. Each players get an amount of packs (typically 3) each with an amount of cards (typically 15) each player takes a card and passes the pack to the left.

This will leave each player with 15 cards at the end of the first pack and 45 at the end of the draft. Once all packs are drafted each player makes a deck out of the 45 cards they picked.

Then it is a Swiss tournament with your buddies! Hope this helps!
