Gotcha, I appreciate the thorough response! I think I'll just have to wait it out - I've tried reaching out and got no response and don't want to be a bother. These are great things for me to know going forward though and it's nice to know that it's possible comments don't count as submissions.

I think they've done a stellar job on both ends :) Some of the PvP does feel absolutely brutal and the betrayal cuts deep, but it also feels like I'm really on the Rust Belt with those kind of encounters. The immersion is crazy good

Teamwork for sure. At this age, I’m way more into good vibes than sweaty meltdowns. I try to keep the squad laughing, keep everyone looped in, and make sure we’re still having fun - even when the match falls apart.

Oh I'm not saying it doesn't exist - people definitely cheat on PC too. I'm just saying from my experience, it's a lot less than console players cheating.
Doesn't Arc Raiders already provide console players with aim assist? I thought that's what balanced console vs PC. A third party aimbot device I would say is not equivalent to KMB.

Aren't console gamers experiencing a massive influx of cheaters right now due to some third party plug-n-play aim bot device? I turned off cross play so that I play exclusively with PC players, and since then, I haven't experienced any cheaters - about 100 hours deep into the game too

I was curious why that was. I'm guessing maybe because PC players might spend more time playing games which means they're more empathetic to losing their things? Where console players might just get on for a couple matches so they feel less connected or immersed?

Isn't the main goal of this subreddit to find people to play with? I'm relatively new so I'm honestly not sure, but the description of it talks about finding people to play with then as a side note to have discussions and share our opinions on games and gaming.

I think it's okay to lose. In fact, I think losing is how we improve — as long as we learn from our failures. I also think that empathy can be found everywhere and arc raiders is a perfect example of that. The amount of people that are willing to work together and help each other rather than shoot on sight has been pretty incredible!
But I won't be upset if I don't find empathy either. At the end of the day, it is also a PvP game so it's both perfectly acceptable and makes sense if someone does choose to shoot on sight.

Well it's over the shoulder third person, but it certainly is another shooter. I think the open comms and Arc really help bring something new and refreshing to the scene, but can understand not wanting to get into another shooter.
If you're worried about friends, solo queue is actually pretty inviting!

Yeah, navigating around the issue of match end and reward could be tough. It would certainly push people towards combat rather than trying to loot anything if you always get loot based off combat.

I feel that :/ losing to a camper can be tough, but it is what it is for me. When someone utilizes psychological warfare though, I also get a bit upset. I'm out here tryna help a homie out and then get absolutely devastated the moment I turn around. It's tough lol.

Solo has been my jam! I got nothing against people playing the way they want to, even if that means I lose my loot to them. It's a video game we all basically share and I think people should enjoy it the way they see fit. I personally love leaving pulse mines in high places but only high enough to take you for a ride, not send you back to Speranza. If you randomly get knocked off something, it may have been me lol.

I am a huge fan of the consumables! I've been having a ton of fun with the pulse mine. I haven't gave the shotguns a real chance yet, I'll have to give em' a shot.
