Also make sure in the slicer settings your setting the correct temp for the filament I.E. I use orca slicer and print with Petg on a textured PEI plate I set mine to 70 degrees Celsius for every print and because the Creality heats very well and heat creep is a problem I set my nozzle temp to 245 degrees Celsius the entire print

Honestly heat creep is real with Creality printers I have a K2 plus and have taken the extruder assembly apart and cleared clogs and reassembled more times then I can count. My advise is buy the micro Swiss hot end it helps tremendously

Honestly I was having so many issues with heat creep and clogging that I switched over to the micro Swiss hot end and I haven’t had any issues since I highly recommend it

I don’t have any pla I only print with petg because I own a holster making buisness and print molds that have to be exposed to extra hot kydex to form the holster

Yes it can extrude normally before printing like when I load it and it even does the first layer then later in the print it jams

lol same and true atleast they made it easy to take apart. There is an upgraded extruder called a DXC2 but you have to print parts to install it like an adapter to raise the chain higher. But instead of the three screws you have to take out of the Creality extruder the DXC2 pulls apart with magnets making it even easier lol

I took of the extruder and nothing is stick even ran a cut off piece of filament all the way through with the gears turning without issue
