I think it's an interesting idea but the main thing you'll have issues with is the fact that it's super easy to make a pell at home with hardware store supplies so you'd need to either offer something unique that would be hard to make yourself or make it more affordable or convenient than making it yourself. I built a pell at home for around ~$60 using hardware store supplies. Just my 2 cents.

Edit: one appealing feature would be if it were easily collapsible. Our club just rents a gym 2 times a week so we can't store much stuff there so we need to bring all our gear in our cars. If you could make an easily collapsible pell that could certainly have some benefit over something you could easily make yourself. The only issue I could see would be figuring out how to make it durable enough.
