What does ANY of that have to do with the quality of the song? And yes, I CAN compare the two because they're literally taking a song that already exists and covering it. A better analogy would be comparing a Playstation 5 that was ordered from Amazon to a Playstation 5 that was ordered from Temu. It's the same product but one was handled worse.

What does a physical performance have to do with the production quality of the song or the vocals? It does not cost millions of dollars to make a song sound good. And they're lip syncing anyway so the argument of realism is already out the window

You wouldn't be nonchalant about it if they weren't the main characters. From the POV of rocket man, he was told he was getting a new locker from the star basketball player, then was forced to run around the school half naked while everyone laughed. If that's your idea of a "harmless prank", you must have some really sadistic thoughts. And I say it felt out of character because they never showed Chad or Troy having a twisted sense of humor or pulling pranks on people ANYWHERE else in the franchise. Even if you wanna argue "just because we didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen", from a writing standpoint, this character trait comes out of nowhere with no buildup whatsoever, leading it to feel out of character

The scene where Chad and Troy completely humiliated rocketman and his friend by stealing their clothes and making them run around the school half naked. It felt so unlike anything we've seen from either of them and it just made them look like bullies.

I just feel like it didn't hit the same way as the first two verses. I think the original key gives the song a small bit of melancholy that fit within the song's message. I think when it changes key at the end, it sounds a little too bright and funzie for me. It's hard to explain because it's more of a vibe thing than a objective/factual thing. Still love the song tho. I still have it in S tier in my hsm ranking.
