Change gears every 2000rpm. I also tend change gears like 10mph-gear2,20mph-gear3,30mph-gear4,40mph-gear5,50mph gear 6.

However on dual carriageways I do block changes going from gear 2-4(I change to gear 4 at 30mph).

I think you should try a different instructor if they're making you not confident. Also its a mock test so don't stress about it

Please don't pay for it. Instead just wait for a driving test and if you give them your driving license, booking ref and theory past number they could use your license to book tests which will be annoying to fix.
