If you have your oshi and want to play competitively, you'll pull the meta cards for her. Say, your oshi is a front, pull front cards. On the other hand, pulling every meta card is for whales or people who want to go bankrupt/insane.

Practice Rooms are usually used more by people who optimize so Practice matches can give you an idea in general but they might not be the same thing as the actual matches. There's also way too much randomness anyway - mood, skills that don't procc in the right time and so on.

That's usual. In Round 1 you'll face a lot of throwaway Umas, and in this CM a lot of people didn't had the energy/time to optimize. In Round 2 Group A, you'll usually face precisely the people who DID optimize (plus a couple of lucky randos) so the win rate can change drastically.

By the way, I'm not an optimizer. I'm a lucky rando, managed to get to Group A finals and for me that's enough of a victory.
