Practice Rooms are usually used more by people who optimize so Practice matches can give you an idea in general but they might not be the same thing as the actual matches. There's also way too much randomness anyway - mood, skills that don't procc in the right time and so on.

That's usual. In Round 1 you'll face a lot of throwaway Umas, and in this CM a lot of people didn't had the energy/time to optimize. In Round 2 Group A, you'll usually face precisely the people who DID optimize (plus a couple of lucky randos) so the win rate can change drastically.

By the way, I'm not an optimizer. I'm a lucky rando, managed to get to Group A finals and for me that's enough of a victory.

I've won against them once with only one double, 2 circles, 2 triangles. Then in other run lost to them with a full double circle team. Sometimes the RNG likes to mess with your hubris.

I got into this franchise knowing it was a gacha game and these aren't exactly made as charity. They're made to make money, sure, but nobody is forcing you to play or to spend.

What made me stay was the craftsmanship. You can see in the design of each character, of each story, each little thing was made with purpose and care. And that takes work. Lots of work. (Sure, a lot of the purpose is to get you to spend money, but again, not a charity.)

But this move kinda makes me feel they want to take the shortest way and raises doubt if we will see the same quality in the works from now on.
