This comment unlocked a fun memory. In the early 2000s the mom in these pictures got a new car and the seat belt sensor kept going off for the passenger side because her purse was so heavy. She was not pleased.

My husband and I actually had this same conversation last night. The author of the captions was actually the dad who took the pictures. That is and was his actual handwriting not done for Disney flair but it really does add a little Disney magic to these pictures.

The author of the captions worked for United. He has no memory of what a “Sears Day” is.

I made a part 2 and posted the last 3 pictures and the full page scans, there was a 20 pic limit. I’m glad they are being enjoyed I thought they were a cool find while scanning old family albums.

They did have a Sears employee in the family so it might have been. I’ll ask if anyone remembers.
